We bought this along with the Porsche Design kettle, and was initially pleased with both items. Whilst we have remained happy with the kettle, the toaster, whilst undeniably efficient at what it proposes to do - toast bread - is not without its flaws.

My main pet peeve with the toaster is that it burns toast incredibly quickly - particularly if you're toasting pieces of bread in rapid succession. I had it on the lowest setting (1.0 - as in 1 minute) and whilst the first two pieces of bread I made were perfectly done, the second two I put in were more than a little black (one side was 75% black, the crusts entirely ashy) - presumably as the toaster was still very warm from the last two pieces.

Despite this problem, I am still happy with the toaster, and would probably buy Porsche Design products again in the future. I am hoping that this is a problem that natural deterioration of the product will solve!
