Just swapper over to Amber Leaf from Goldren Virginia must say it is a better smoke not so harsh. The tobacco is a lot dryer than GV but shredded a lot coarser it may be me but I find it goes a little further and no more soggy tips obviously because there is less moisture. The after taste is excellent with no bitter flavour. Overall I would say it is a finer smoke than GV a thousand times better than Gold (dusty) Leaf and just a tocuh more bite than Cutters Choice, it even goes well with blue rizla. If you are a harden GV fan I suggest you give this one a try you may better suprised not only with the taste but also the money ... Read the complete review

DISCLAIMER:I feel terrible reviewing tobacco. I few ground rules I suppose. Look kids - it ain't big and it ain't clever. I am not endorsing this stuff, even though I'm about to say nice things about it. well actually I am I suppose, but that's not the point. As a concession to a greater morality, this will be a short and to the point review of a very good product. Everyone has a favourite brand of tobacco and this is mine. I suppose rolling tobacco is divided into light and dark types and this is of the light variety. It's a golden-coloured medium-shredded affair with a good level of moisture. It's not at all tarry feeling like some of the darker brands (Yes ... Read the complete review

This is a fine smooth blend of virginia hand rolling tobaccos produced by Richard Lloyd & Sons. Since this tobacco has come onto the market I have never changed brand. It provides a smooth, mellow and enjoyable smoke and it's not too strong or weak, it's just right (for me anyway!). It is also not weighed down by too much moisture, as a lot of other tobaccos are, and it is the best value for money that you will get in most tobacconists in the UK. Two great features of this tobacco are the facts that you can buy a 12.5 gram pouch which comes inside a box, very much like a standard cigarette box and the fact that you get a free pack of rolling papers with ... DISCLAIMER.....What I write below isn't intended as encouragement for all and sundry to dash out and start smoking, as it is my opinion that it's better not to succumb to the habit in the first place - nor is this an article condoning smoking. What I say is merely a review on a product that I use occasionally, and I hope will be objectively accepted as such by everyone. Thanks! I began to roll my own cigarettes a few months ago, as more of an economy drive than anything. OK some people may say STOP SMOKING to economise even further, but for some of us that isn't an immediate option, because our addiction is far too powerful to overcome, despite many years ... I started smoking at about 11 or 12 years old, the worst mistake I ever made, as we all know over the years cigarettes have increased dramatically in price, so being a smoker of about forty cigarettes a day, the smoking was getting to be a really expensive habit, so expensive that I was spending approximately £10 per day, so therefore £70 a week, (ridiculous I know) I have lost count of the failed attempts to quit smoking altogether, so I decided to start rolling my own cigarettes to save a few pennies. Brief description I really don't know why I chose Amber Leaf, as I would be more familiar with Golden Virginia Tobacco as family members ... Read the complete review
