Advantages: price/quality
Disadvantages: street cred
both my wife and i smoke "rollies" and usually buy 2*50 gram golden viginia pks and that sees us through about 2 weeks
recently went to the local shops for my usual order of 2 pks but they only had the one pack of "golden viginia" so with it i bought a small amber leaf to use as a reserve,
soon enough reserve time came along and i opened up the "amber leaf"
id always thought anything other than golden to be the "camels" of the rolling world but i was wrong
surprisingly i dont have to look at the inside of my lungs or a wizzend up heart when i examine the pouch we all know it happens and take it on board when making choices in life surprising to me all the same that .gov hasnt had a hand in the package design
i found "amber leaf" to be nice smelling on first opening the packet i find it a sweet mallasas type of smell, the free papers included was a pleasant bonus to me too. the tobacco was firmly in the pack with less moisture than i'm used to, rolling is easy the strands of tobacco seem to be more tied together somehow evident when you tear/stretch it out along your free paper. being slightly drier stops them odd lumps and bumps that pinched tobacco sometimes produces, lighting up instantly gave me the sweetness id experienced when opening the pouch, its a slighty mellow smoke which leaves my mouth feeling moist, i like it. the free papers turned out surprisingly good too ,in this cost cutting age id tried several rolling paper brands some were like smoking down a toilet tube but not these if you pop your "rollie" into the ashtray for a minute its still there when you get back, not just a line of ash where it once laid i think you need to run out of one brand of tobacco to appreciate the other, and if that time should arrive id reccomend you at least give "amber leaf" a chance and you too like us two might just become a convert
Summary: not a cheap substitute
