Smoker's choice (Amber Leaf)
Member Name: JellySplat
Advantages: Cheap, good flavour, free skins Disadvantages: Annoying if you cant roll Being a smoker and a student (a common mix) I was delighted and relieved when Amber Leaf brought out the wee 12.5g box. Not only do you get your tobacco, but also your papers and if you don't use filters, enough cardboard to use as roach. Amber leaf never was my first choice, however. I started smoking Mayfair and Richmond, then Lamberts, eventually moving onto rolling tobacco as it is much, much cheaper and you can always roll to your preferred "thickness". Golden Virginia was my first choice of rolling tobacco, but of course this means you have to buy your papers also. Personally, the flavour of the tobacco isn't really much different for me, but the PRICE is. On average, in my local area, a 12.5g box of Amber Leaf (with papers) is around £2.76. I have bought it cheaper, and I have heard of it being bought significantly cheaper. However, £2.76 is still cheaper than buying pre-rolled, as well as Golden V. Luckily, with Amber Leaf, it wasn't one of those tobaccos that you have to "get used to". The taste was a big hit straight off, and I'm still smoking it to this day. So, if you are a student, or on a budget, I would recommend it. Summary: Cheap and fun! (In a not-promoting-smoking kinda way) |
