Although one of the cheaper tobaccos Amber leaf is definitely one of, if not the best tobacco around.

It's a nice smoke, not too weak, not too harsh. It has a very distinctive taste - and even comes with 50 free rolling papers!!

Go buy a pounh and try it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been a smoker for a number of years and usually smoke cigarettes as opposed to roll ups. Mainly because it can be a pain having to roll. Recently however i have been forced to switch to Rolling bacci as times are hard and all that. I used to get through about 10 b&h a day (sometimes more if i was having a few beers down the pub). Unlike most tobacco's that you can buy, the price of amber leaf really doesnt reflect on the quality. For such a cheap tobacco (i pay 4.56 for 25g with papers) it has a taste that is easily as good as any of the other major tobacco brands such as Golden Virginia. The other added bonus with Amber Leaf is that you get rolling papers with ...  Read the complete review

For me Amber Leaf is my second choice of tobacco, with my first choice being Golden Virgina, the good thing with the Amber Leaf is the fact that the 12.5oz pack comes with papers which will more than likely last you the whole wrap of tobacco, it's pretty much got the same taste as Golden Virgina but it does have a very fruity smell in my opinion. ...  Read the complete review

Being a smoker and a student (a common mix) I was delighted and relieved when Amber Leaf brought out the wee 12.5g box. Not only do you get your tobacco, but also your papers and if you don't use filters, enough cardboard to use as roach. Amber leaf never was my first choice, however. I started smoking Mayfair and Richmond, then Lamberts, ...  Read the complete review

me and my partner have smoked amber leaf 4 ages it is not to stong which i like and it is a good price. The only problem we have had is the last 5 or 6 pouches we have bought half of it has been dust so it has been wasted still though it has not put us of smoking it we dont like the taste of any other tobacco.

I was always a Marlboro red smoker. But cannot afford them anymore as the cheap supplies have dried up thanks to Customs and Excise crackdown! I started smoking GV and was not totally happy with it. It only seemed to taste right after it dried out a bit as the first half of a 50 gramme pack was too damp. I cant say that I am too impressed with the taste either!
A friend put me on to Amber Leaf whem I ran out of baccy. It tasted like a real cigarette with a filter. I now buy it all the time. It is consistant too from the start of the pack till the end it is a nice smoke

Current price here is £5.45 with a pack of papers for 25G. So my own personal opinion is it is far better than GV and Cutters Choice.

Amber leaf is one of the cheapest tobaccos out there in most local newsagents and it shows. Normally for around £3 you get 12.5g pack of tobacco and a pack of Amber Leaf's own brand Cigarette papers. When i was a broke student i used to smoke Amber leaf because back then you could get the 12.5g and 50 cigarette papers for £2.29 and you ...  Read the complete review

I smoked Amber Leaf for a while when I was wel and truly scint. The best thing about having more money is that I now no longer have to smoke this God-awful shit. Amber Leaf tobacco has absolutely no taste whatsoever and has a certain something which makes me want to kill people who actually CHOOSE to buy it.

If I were you (and I thoroughly recommend smoking, by the way), I'd smoke Golden Virginia and occasionally Cutter's Choice. Don't touch this stuff.

Amber leaf is my tobacco of choice, just because it's so cheap! It comes in a yellow packet which I find handy because you can spot it easily when you rummaging through your bag!! The tobacco now comes with health warnings, some of the pictures can be quite grusome, but that is will all smoking related products now anyway. I ...  Read the complete review

I started smoking at about 11 or 12 years old, the worst mistake I ever made, as we all know over the years cigarettes have increased dramatically in price, so being a smoker of about forty cigarettes a day, the smoking was getting to be a really expensive habit, so expensive that I was spending approximately £10 per day, so therefore £70 a week, ...  Read the complete review

DISCLAIMER.....What I write below isn't intended as encouragement for all and sundry to dash out and start smoking, as it is my opinion that it's better not to succumb to the habit in the first place - nor is this an article condoning smoking. I have usually been smoking Golden Virginia rolling tobacco, buying 50g pouches at the tax-free shop at the airport. I am sold.I am definetly not switching back to Golden Virginia.Amber leaf is much smoother,no harshness in the back of my throat...just full flavoured, gentle taste.Perfect!

Just lit up my last rollie of the day, rolled with Amber Leaf. As it informs me on the pouch, Amber Leaf is in a nutshell "Finest Virginia Hand Rolling Tobacco" and to be honest, I think it lives up to that claim. Now being virgina tobacco, and not shag, it's a smooth, mild smoke. Amber Leaf is relatively dry ...  Read the complete review

Just a quick one, I find it cheap, Easy to roll, enjoyable. I also use filters and its tastes like a proper cigarette without all the chemicals.

3 packs of zig zag filters priced at 99p, So overall for under £10 i get about 2 weeks worth of smokes (get the pouches).

Tend to find i've cut down alot which is good. And more money in my pocket!

Better than Golden Virginia (199 words)

Just swapper over to Amber Leaf from Goldren Virginia must say it is a better smoke not so harsh. The tobacco is a lot dryer than GV but shredded a lot coarser it may be me but I find it goes a little further and no more soggy tips obviously because there is less moisture. The after taste is excellent with no bitter ...  Read the complete review

This is a fine smooth blend of virginia hand rolling tobaccos produced by Richard Lloyd & Sons. Since this tobacco has come onto the market I have never changed brand. It provides a smooth, mellow and enjoyable smoke and it's not too strong or weak, it's just right (for me anyway!). It is also not weighed down by too much moisture, as a lot ...  Read the complete review
