B&H Gold as they are now called were definitely seen as the coolest fags around when I started smoking. Most of my mates smoked these - they were seen as quite masculine, and also a proper grown-up cigarette. They were also the first cigarette I smoked and I stuck with them for five years - I was very proud of the fact I smoked 10 B&H a day, but I switched to a cheaper brand when I was 16 and started smoking more heavily (yes, I did start smoking at age 11 - terrible I know, but not a decision I have ever regretted!). Having been a smoker for some fifteen years, I'd like to share with you, the sheer joy of smoking Benson & Hedges, as opposed to other brands. If you are a non smoker, you cannot possibly imagine the pleasure, relief and unltimate indulgence that is B&H. Benson & Hedges are probably the best 'high end' cigarettes. Very seldom do you get the bitter taste and overwhelming smell of Sovereign or the harsh dryness at the back of your mouth of Marlboro. However my major reservation about them is a) You NEVER seem to be able to buy the 'lights' in the UK (Why is that they are sold all over France?)and b) The price, I know alot of it is tax but in my area (Southampton) a packet of 20 B+H sells for around £4.43, c)If you start smoking them regularly every other brand begins to taste cheap and nasty.  Read the complete review

I've been smoking since I was 14 and the best smoke in the world has to be B&H. I've tried loads of other brands soverign, marlboro lights but nothing beats the smooth taste of B&H. Has a good amount of nicotine in and tastes good. Nothing better than first thing in the morning taking a deep drag into your lungs and feeling the nicotine rush round your body. Most of my mates smoke B&H as well so must be good. Only bad thing is once you start with B&H all other cigarettes taste crap. Also really hard to give up, I tried and lasted a day!
