Advantages: Cheap, Good Quality, Strong Taste
Disadvantages: Doesn't come with papers, Amber Leaf does for 5p more
For the price, you can't really go wrong with Drum Gold.
If you're after a stronger smoke than most tobaccos offer then Drum's gonna be the brand you're after. The original Drum comes in a blue packet with the typical trademarks Drum uses ie. The Skin Holder on the front that you can stick your papers to (Or 2 packets if you're creative like me :P ) and the velcro patch that keeps the packet stuck together.
Like a 25g pouch of Amber Leaf, Drum doesn't have a seal on the actual tobacco part of the pouch so it dries out and becomes crumbly if you leave it a while (A lot of people i know like dry tobacco though) which is a negative point for me, That's where Golden Virginia strikes itself a point.
£2.60 will score you a 12.5g pouch of Drum Gold and i quite like it myself, i was looking for something different after smoking Amber Leaf and Golden Virginia for a while and it caught my eye. The tobacco itself is large cut so there's lots of woody bits in it and it requires a lot of separating with your fingers before it's ready to roll evenly.
It burns slowly and has a strong aroma to it so chances are if you're experienced you'll be able to tell a drum smoker from a distance :P
Made by Imperial Tobacco, Drum comes from the same company that makes Lambert n' Butler, Richmond, Mayfair (I think), Golden Virginia and Gold Leaf tobacco and i can assure you all of their products are great quality. I've smoked them all haha
Drum doesn't come with any papers though, so if you're after papers as well buy 12.5g of Amber Leaf with comes with a free packet that are surprisingly good quality.
Summary: Good quality Tobacco, Worth a try
