... used to smoke Amber Leaf when i first started when i quit school and i loved it, free papers in every packet and a box of filters would bring me up to about £6 for a 25g packet of A.Leaf and it would be good for about 120 cigarettes, very cost effective and very satisfying. However i quickly found that A.Leaf has a terrible habit of going absolutely bone dry if you don't keep it somewhere cool and moist and then it turns horribly harsh. The 25g Packs of A.Leaf can get around this if you put a fresh cut peice of Pota...more

If like me you switched to roll ups to avoid the ridiculous price of Straights in the UK, then Golden Virginia is the only tobacco you should use. I used to smoke Lambert and Butler Kings until I made the switch. Slightly dearer than other tobaccos at £2.70 for a 12.5g pouch, it is well worth it. The reason being is that this tastes better than any other tobacco, is smoother and less harsher on the throat than other tobaccos, I have tried them all, Old Holborn (Tears your throat to shreds), Samson (OK, but not quite there), Cutters Choice (Simply, Horrible) among others. It is a smooth, beautiful smoke with a lovely smell and no added ...

As a 17 year old who's only been smoking for a couple of months, I'm enjoying smoking Golden Virginia. The fact that I can afford to buy enough tobacco to satisfy me on my low income is what has drawn me to smoking rolling tobacco. I also find that I don't get any cravings from smoking rollies. Recently I was ill, so didn't smoke for 4 days, and had no cravings whatsoever. I also agree that cigarettes you ...

** PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE STUPID COMMENTS SUCH AS; "IM GLAD YOU ENJOY KILLING YOURSELF, A NICE FORM OF SUICIDE, YOU SHOULD QUIT. THANKS ** Now, onto the review... I've been a smoker of manufactured cigarettes for around 8 years now, very recently...today i've switch to smoking Golden Virginia. This is not a review of the taste, but a review of the cost. If you smoke 20 cigarettes per day for one month at an average price of £5 a pack you will be spending roughly £140 however if you buy one 50g pouch of Golden Virginia (capable of rolling 160 cigarettes) you'll spend just £52 (roughly, this does not include filters ...
