If like me you switched to roll ups to avoid the ridiculous price of Straights in the UK, then Golden Virginia is the only tobacco you should use. I used to smoke Lambert and Butler Kings until I made the switch. Slightly dearer than other tobaccos at £2.70 for a 12.5g pouch, it is well worth it. The reason being is that this tastes better than any other tobacco, is smoother and less harsher on the throat than other tobaccos, I have tried them all, Old Holborn (Tears your throat to shreds), Samson (OK, but not quite there), Cutters Choice (Simply, Horrible) among others. As a 17 year old who's only been smoking for a couple of months, I'm enjoying smoking Golden Virginia. The fact that I can afford to buy enough tobacco to satisfy me on my low income is what has drawn me to smoking rolling tobacco. At £3-odd for a small pack, which can last up to a fortnight smoking 1-3 a day, it's very affordable, and with the price of filters and papers being so low, I can grab a pack of 50 on the money found down the back of the sofa.
