During the recession, most of us have made cut backs here and there and one of my cut backs was to change from my 'beloved' Lambert and Butlers to roll-ups.
My dad has actually smoked roll-ups for as long as I remember and will very rarely smoke 'proper' cigerettes, he sit's there and rolls up around 50-70 a time and does it in aboout 5/10 minutes. Me......I am getting better but it uused to take me a good 5 minutes to roll just the one!!

I don't actually mind the taste but I do use menthol filter tips, I never really liked menthol cigerettes but what with a roll-up being so strong I thought I'd ive them a try and to my surprise I actually really liked it!

I know you can buy gadgets to help you roll, but I found these more tricky than me doing it myself so I don't bother with them now.

There are so many different ranges of tobacco available, I prefer Golden Virginia or Amber Leaf, but you can get stronger varities. One I don't like and refuse to buy is Gold Leaf.......It actually tastes like chocolate.....smokey chocolate, yuck, it's not for me lol!!

On the whole I can see me sticking with the handmade cigerettes for teh price difference, from a small pouch of tobacco you can roll around 60-80 roll-ups and it costs less than a pack of 20 cigerettes!

Once you get used to rolling them it actually becomes quite easy, and I have noticed when I have been out a lot of people now smoke roll-ups! When I was younger I would never even have considered going out with roll-ups but now everyone is doing it!! I must admit though I will roll 20 and buy 10 Lamberts if im going out and smoke the lamberts first, then as soon as I'm drunk out come the rollies!!!

Summary: Giive them a try, I didn't think I would like them but it turns out they ain't too bad after all!
