“ Lambert & Butler is one of the UK's leading cigarette brand and is produced by Imperial Tobacco. „
I'd not consider myself a regular smoker but have always had a pack lying around so tend to pick up different brands often.
Regal, Embassy, B + H, L + B Silver, Marlboro Lights, etc.
My personal favorites up until 12 months ago would be Berekeley Reds - Smooth drag and slow burning but then after it was Marlboro lights as my flatmate smokes them and so it made logistics easier. Then for no reason I saw some L B golds so bought 10.
Despite the negative reviews I think they are smooth and not too strong, with a pleasant taste. Maybe a little fast burning but think I've found my brand for now.
Not too pricey at about £3 for 10 but I don't but often so this isn't really a consideration.
They give me the random occasional fix I want and don't feel like your throat is being dried out.
Lambert & Butler Lights are not really very good cigarettes. Although smokable, they are undoubtedly very rough on the palete, and difficult to smoke, and I mean this quite literally. It's difficult to get a drag of tobacco out of these things because they aren't at all well packed.
These things make me cough and splutter quite a bit, and don't really go well with wine or coffee or beer. They have an almost ashy taste and, whilst passable when you haven't got anything else to smoke, are definitely not worth seeking out.
They're relatively cheap I suppose I'd have to say, but its definitely worth paying the difference and going with your standard Lambert and Butler cigarettes, which are much better and easier to smoke.
Even though these are billed as being a lighter smoke, they're actually just as heavy on the lungs if not moreso. I definitely wouldn't recommend these.
They taste bad, smell bad (obviously, they're cigarettes) and aren't particularly good value. Yhat is not to say though, that they're the bottom of the barrel, on the contrary, they're pretty passable like I say, definitely a smokable cigarette and much better than horrible things like Superking Blacks or Regals or Jin Ling or any of that other nonsense. No, these are just a very average, not that good value smoke. I wouldn't go for them.
Lambert and Butler "Lights" or "Gold" as they are called now due to restrictions on using the name "Light" or "Mild" on cigarette packages are an average cigarette.
I smoked L&B King Size, but I really wanted to try the gold ones for a lighter smoke, I was not impressed.
These do not seem to hold any quality compared to L&B King size, they taste cheap and nasty and are not a particularly pleasant smoke. I feel that these burn horribly and although they are smoother than King Size, simply put, they are not as good or nice to smoke.
Now that I am on Smooth brands I will probably switch to something like Richmond or Embassy Blue.
I wanted to try these because I really like L&B as in good quality for the price you pay, but I wouldn't recommend them, you don't get any sort of good nicotine hit either. I don't like smoking cheap cigarettes like Richmond but I probably will as I don't want to pay upwards of £2.80 for a pack of Marlboro Gold or Embassy Blue.
In short, if you want a lighter cigarette, choose something else because simply put, these just don't deliver.
i know they're meant to be nicer to smoke than L&B King Size, but they just make me feel sick. the packaging looks less attractive too. they feel like they're doing more damage than the King Size anyway. These fags give me a headache... do not buy!
if you want good "lights", buy Richmond Smooth (which come in Superkings :D) or even Mayfair Smooth. L&B may be the best selling cigarette brand in the UK, but i'm sure thats not down to these!
L&B lights are great, they are cheap, smokeable and a nice golden colour (which signifies that you are really rich!!) My boyfriend comes from quite a posh family and is a typical Marlboro Lights smoker(you know the kind i mean). when we first met, he took me to a fairly posh resturant, imagine his disgust when i plonk my trusty L&B's on the table. After me telling him he was a looser, snob, basically nasty person, he tried one and told me that they weren't actually that bad - cheeky bugger!!!
