The quality of these cigarettes has fallen to average. They now have just 0.8mg of nicotine. They are loosely rolled now and burn much faster. In my view they are just a generic average cigarette. A shame as they used to be outstanding.

When I started sneaking cigarettes from my mum at 13, she smoked mainly superkings black (Probably not the best fags to start on because of the stregnth). I soon developed a certain addiction and started enjoying my smoking. Then suddenly, she started to buy a pack of Raffles 100s every saturday. These fags were somehow different, better than Superkings.I used to look forward to saturdays when I could sneak a couple of these. Now of course, I buy my own and have stuck with the Raffles. I have tried most brands but still find Raffles the best. They are sold in 10s and 20s, in a black and grey pack with an elegant Raffles logo on the front. They are probably one of the strongest cigarettes you can buy in the UK at 1.1mg of nicotine and 12mg tar. They have a very smooth taste and don't leave your throat dry like cheaper brands.Every drag is pure pleasure, they do not burn too quickly and maintain thier taste to the end.Obviously with so much nicotine, they do give a very satisfying smoke, especially first thing in the morning.
