... for a while as they were one of the cheapest around and the quality was quite good too. Eventually I tried to quit and succeeded for 6 months but then one night out in the pub changed all that (I know I'm so weak). So when I started again I found regular Richmond a little strong so I went on to Richmond Menthol as they had just started doing them. I still smoke them now as they are cheap but don't burn your throat. The best thing about menthol cigarettes is that not many folk enjoy them so they won't be asking for...more

Premium Review Richmond Kingsize: View through a Smoke Cloud.. (300 words)

..yes, this opinion will probably evoke love or hate. I am a smoker. A heavy smoker. Especially becoming virtually housebound through illness/disability (not smoking related) just over two years ago. My cigarette consumption has gradually gone up from about 10 a day to around 30 a day - I enjoy it, I don't want to give up, it might kill me, I no longer care. That aside, when spending out so much on cigarettes on a reltaively low income of course I am inclined to opt for a cheaper brand without sacrificing too much in taste and quality. I found a good product to fit the bill all-round in Richmond cigarettes. To clarify I actually smoke the ...  Read the complete review

Before I get bombarded with comments about how bad ciggarettes are for your Health,I am well aware of this, but unfortunately I am addicted to the Nicotine and thats that. I have tried various cheapish Brands like L&B,but found they gave Me a sore throat in the morning and the Tobbacco was too strong to inhale comfortably. Having bought Richmond Kingsize for about two years now I have got so used to them that I find it difficult to smoke other Brands. Richmond are packaged in a nice coloured Sea Blue with a classy Navy stripe through the middle, not that the packaging effects the taste of the Ciggarettes but it is very attractive to the eye. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Richmond Kingsize: Good quality cheap cigs (364 words)

It seems a bit weird reviewing cigarettes but I've been smoking for 15 years so I guess I have the experience. I started smoking Benson and Hedges which at the time were £2.20 for 20! I smoked these for years until I had to start paying bills and watching my money. I found Lambert & Butler too strong as are Marlboro, Benson and Hedges superkings, Soveriegn and I started to dislike that awful taste they leave in your mouth but unfortunately I was hooked. A friend of mine had poached a packet of consulate menthol cigarettes from her mum and gave me one. I like these instantly as they didn't seem as strong or leave your mouth overly dry and no ...  Read the complete review

I started smoking Marlboro for some reason. No-one around here smokes them, they're really expensive and they're strong. But i liked them. Anyway, they were really expensive so i had to change brands. I tried Lambert & Butler, which were ok, i tried Mayfair smooth which were quite nice. But nothing tasted quite right. so then i found Richmond. Richmond are cheaper than Lambert (but not as cheap as Mayfair). Where I live a pack of 10 costs about £2.05. They look quite expensive, in their blue packaging, with gold letters - but they're not! They're a quality smoke. They are not as harsh as L&B, but have the same tar and nicotine ...  Read the complete review
