Advantages: Relatively cheap, pleasant

Disadvantages: Th usual - for cigaretttes

..yes, this opinion will probably evoke love or hate. I am a smoker. A heavy smoker. Especially becoming virtually housebound through illness/disability (not smoking related) just over two years ago.

My cigarette consumption has gradually gone up from about 10 a day to around 30 a day - I enjoy it, I don't want to give up, it might kill me, I no longer care.

That aside, when spending out so much on cigarettes on a reltaively low income of course I am inclined to opt for a cheaper brand without sacrificing too much in taste and quality. I found a good product to fit the bill all-round in Richmond cigarettes. To clarify I actually smoke the Superkings Lights variety which retail at around £3.55 - £3.70 a pack of 20 depending on where you buy them - this is anything up to a £1 or more cheaper than other well-known brands. I normally buy the 100 or 200 packs from the supermarket which works out at about 5p cheaper per pack of twenty.

Richmond cigarettes are actually produced by The House of John Player - a well known and long established brand. They are in a silvery blue and white packet and do not look like as cheap as many cheap brands do.

The type I smoke contain 8mg tar/0.8mg nicotine per cigarette and, of course, the packaging contains the usual Government health warnings.

They are available in normal strength, normal king size and menthol (green pack) as well as the Light and Superking varieties.

I find these cigarettes to be a pleasant smoke, not leaving that rough throated feel even after a heavy session and I will be sticking with these for some time to come (unless I miraculously give up).

Okay I smoke too but... this is a good opinion. You give the price, explain the packaging and the taste.. any other product would get all VU's.

I guess we smokers are doomed if we dare write about our habit...such is life..lol.

Hope today is a good day for you.
Dave :-)
