I do not like smoking. I do not hate everyone that smokes, but I do believe that knowing the health implications of yourself and others around you, every smoker should be making a healthy effort to quit. What I find particularly appalling is how many younger people, like Sixth Formers and Students can take up Smoking, knowing how bad it is for you and with it becoming increasingly anti social. If you are considering starting smoking and are reading this review looking for something positive to spur you on, you aren't going to find it and you should lose those ideas before you seriously regret them.
Smoking is expensive. A regular smoker could save a few thousand pounds a year by quitting, a fact which I find particularly interesting, think what you could be doing instead of smoking - you could travel the world, put a deposit on a car or save for a deposit on a house!
It's bad for your body. Not only will it eventually cause death by lung cancer, but yellow skin, pale gums and a bad smell are all common side effects of smoking - revolting. How can anyone poison their cells like that?
Possibly the biggest reason not to smoke, is that it's bad for everyone around you. It means people living in the same household have to put up with the disgusting smell, which stays for a long time and it also means they are put at risk by the cancers etc that you are risking yourself.
I'll end this review with my recommendations on smoking, either Don't Start, or Try your best to Quit.
