Advantages: A good easy roll.
Disadvantages: Smoking bad.
Swan Green Cigarette papers, (King size). These are made by the famous Swan match company, They were quite happy producing matches from 1883, until 1986, when they started to produce cigarette papers.
A short history of cigarette papers:-
Soldiers in the Napoleonic Wars who were denied their clay pipes, took to using pages from old books, to roll up tobacco to smoke. In 1860 Pierre De Lacroix started producing fine paper, especially for rolling, the rest as they say, is history.
It was not until 1942 that gum was first used on cigarette papers, this idea was patented by Pierre De Lacroix or Rizla as they became, the name coming from RIZ (as in rice paper) and LA (as in Lacroix. They did not actually become Rizla until 1954.
Rizla Silver Slim are the finest papers, at just 20 Microns thick, a human hair is between 50 and 100 Microns!
Price - The cheapest you will see these Swan papers are online, for £12.33 Amazon will send you a box of 100 Swan Green Standard size Rolling papers booklets , this is free postage.
A little trivia about Swan:-
Swan has always ensured that they give their customers something to thank them for their loyalty through a variety of promotions. One of their most novel promotions was introduced between 1914 and 1917, where a free life insurance policy was inserted into every matchbox and covered the amounts of £100, £200 and £500. Among the conditions of the insurance was that the box of Swan Vestas must be on the person at the time of the accident, and that the death must be due to an injury received while travelling.
These Swan papers are available in Green, as in the picture, also Red, Blue, Licorice, and also White.and the newest one Silver, if you need Kinf size they make those too. The House of Swan have a decent website, take a look:-

It is a lot of years since I "rolled my own", but from what I hear, these are very good papers. If you did want something different, you can try other firms, some of whom make Menthol flavoured papers, and even papers with perforations for a cooler smoke. These papers areeasy to get out of the pack, roll well, and the gum sticks perfect. I can recommend them.
I should end with the obligatory warning that smoking does damage your health, I will also say that if you change from smoking "Tailor mades" to hand rolled, you will smoke less, which will be good for you, although not as beneficial as stopping of course.
Roll on!
Summary: Papers of good quality.
