Born to Play Fireman Sam - Friction Fire Engine with Sam Figure

Advantages: Easy to hold and push along

Disadvantages: Doesn't play the 'nee nah' sound and the side compartments don't open

I purchased this for my son when it was in the sale at Argos. I paid £6.49 for it. He loves Fireman Sam so this was a must have. You can also get them from a wide range of stores for around £6-10.00. These include: Smyths, Argos, Woolworths on line, Ebay etc.

Basically you get a Fire Engine which of course is called 'Jupiter', as all you Fireman Sam fans would know. LOL!! You also get a little plastic 'Fireman Sam' and a grey fire ladder that actually slides out of the back of the fire engine.

On top of the Fire Engine is a yellow fireman's ladder that extends upwards and has a little platform for Fireman Sam to go into.

The Fire Engine arrives in a little cardboard box that you just clip the engine off and recycle the waste which is a bonus. Out comes the engine and away you go.

The Fire Engine is friction powered so can be pushed along quite easy. You can't open the sides of the Fire Engine they are fixed firmly shut. You can put Fireman Sam in the driving seat and you can also extend the yellow ladder on top of the fire engine so that Sam can go on the platform and fight fires.

The Fire Engine is made quite well and is still in tact after a few good knocks. My little boy loves to crash it into the postman pat vehicles and it takes the impact well.

I thought this Fire Engine played Music, well at least making the 'nee nah' sound but it doesn't so that was slightly disappointing.

***Overall***
The Fireman Sam engine is a good toy for the price and my little boy loves to pretend he's a firefighter helping Sam with putting out fires, however I think a few little easy adjustments could have been made to the Fire Engine to make it a little more interesting. This being, putting sounds on the Fire Engine and making the side doors open so you could put things in - all would have been a bonus!!
If you would like a little toy to keep the kiddies amused for a while then it's a good buy.

Summary: Great little toy for all wannabe Fireman Sam's
