When I saw this toy in the box I thought it looked great and was sure my little boy would love it! He is a peppa pig fan and I was pleased to see more of a boyish peppa pig toy (there is now quite a selection Boats, trains etc)

It is a nice, bright chunky design (even on the inside!) and it's easy for little ones to hold. It comes complete with three peppa pig characters -peppa, George and Danny all in cute little space suits.

The sounds & phrases are brilliant!!
peppa pig says "spaceship peppa ready for take off 5,4,3,2,1 blastoff" but the best bit- there is a button that detects when the spaceship has been lifted up and only then it will Roar like a real blast off! Other sound effects include peppa giving directions & laughing.

Although it comes with 3 LR44 batteries these only enable the try me mode to work and this only has 1 phrase!! It will need 3 AA batteries to work properly! I did feel this was a little mis leading.

He does enjoy playing with it but unfortunately he can get very frustrated at times, mainly due to 3 things.....

firstly the design of the switch, I know it sounds ridiculous!! Most toys have a switch that slide from off-on but with this is goes from off then needs just a tiny movement to on, another tiny movement to mute and then finally across to the try me mode! Of course when he turns it on he just slides it across to the latter mode. The try me mode does not have the full range of sound effects and phrases etc and he thinks it is not working properly! it would be far better if the complete ON mode was in this place as it is fiddly to slide it just the little fraction thats required -even for an adult!

Secondly the doors are not very sturdy and often fall off, they are easy for an adult to put back on, but not for a small child.

Thirdly The little seat belts are VERY fiddly!

To summarise... it is a nice character toy, especially because you get the little figures included. Even though they are dressed in the space outfits they can of course be used in any of the other peppa toys.
The sounds are great, its bright, chunky and easy to clean but sadly the negatives mentioned do let it down quite a bit!
