      Very helpful

A good toy for a toddler who likes moving machines and noisy sounds

The product itself is based on a character from the children's 'wheels on the bus series'. Its usual cost is £19.99 (as of February 2009), however we were very lucky to be able to purchase it for half price at £9.99.
The toy comes in two parts, the bus and the wireless steering wheel. It runs on eight AA batteries which unfortunately unless you purchase your own are not rechargeable. According to the product description the toy is educational in the fact that it is designed to promote hand and eye coordination

      *Our opinion*

As mentioned above, we managed to purchase the bus for half price, therefore found it excellent value for money. It did set us back a few extra pounds for the batteries which luckily we have found to last quite a long time otherwise the running of this vehicle could become very costly. The bus is designed for children over the age of eighteen months. We gave it to our son for his first birthday and although he enjoyed it and managed to work it, he struggled to steer the bus in the correct way although he did manage to find the buttons which make the noises!
The steering wheel is wireless and does control the bus. You turn the wheel into the direction that you would like the bus to go (which even I find difficult sometimes) and there are also control buttons on the wheel for forward and reverse. There is a button to sound the horn and another button to speed up the bus.
As the bus moves, it can be set to be silent or to play the tune of 'the wheels on the bus'. There is also a button on the front of the bus that also plays the nursery rhyme. I do find that it is a shame that there is no volume control due to the n umber of sounds that it makes, therefore making it all or nothing.

      *To summarise*

The toy is excellent for a toddler. It creates a lot of fun and will entertain a young one for hours. As mentioned, the price is £19.99 which I find slightly high considering the amount of batteries which need to be purchased. I do however agree with the fact that it is a great way for the toddler to enhance their fine motor skills and would recommend this for any noisy toy loving toddler.

Beep sings 'Wheels on the Bus' and has realistic 'driving' sounds. There's turbo for extra speed and a horn for extra fun.
