When Lauren was around a year old, she loved Fifi and the Flowertots, whenever the theme tune came on, she would stop and stare at the television, the bright colours and cheerful songs seemed to fascinate her. So when her 1st birthday approached, we decided to buy her 'Off we go Mo'
We brought ours from Boots as part of the three for two offer as her birthday falls at Christmas, I think it cost in the region of £8, having a quick look on-line, it doesn't seem to be as readily available as it was 4 years ago but you can still pick up a used one from EBay for a couple of pound or new for £8 inc p&p.
The car requires 3 small watch batteries which are included, we have had ours for 4 years now and although its not a regular toy Lauren plays with, the original batteries are still going strong. The characters are really realistic and brightly coloured, I hate it when you buy character toys and they look nothing like they do and television.
The toys is really simple, it is just Fifi sat in Mo, if you press the flowerpot down on the back of Mo, she shoots across the floor and shouts 'off we go Mo' whist making a brummmmmmmmmm noise (car noise). When Lauren first received it, she used to clap happily as the car shot across the floor, she used to get even more excited if is crashed in the wall or furniture (or even the cat) on the way. As with most wheeled toys, I found it worked better on the wooden floor however it still works perfectly fine on the carpet, it just doesn't travel as far.
The only downside to the product is when Lauren was younger, she found it difficult to push the flowerpot down, the car just used to tip up and she used to get quite frustrated and upset at this, as she approached 18months, she was able to operate on her own
Overall, I would recommend, the toy is really well made, as I said earlier, is has been driven into man pieces of furniture and there is not a mark on it, the batteries last ages and although Lauren is approaching 5, if she comes across it in her toy box, is always comes out and is played with.
I would give the car 5 out of 5 stars
Thanks for reading
My daughter loves this speedy car and I love the fact there are no bits to loose!.
Anyone who has a small child cant escape the obligatory and ever changing obsessions your child will have with certain characters like pepa pig, Dora the explorer and fifi. Keeping up with there new favourites in toy form can b e quite expensive as the character laden licensed products always are sold with a premium price so I was very pleased with this little barging at £5.99.
The car itself is made of nice sturdy and chunky shapes that are well rounded as not to damage my furniture, and as this is a speedy little car it's a good job. It is very vibrant in colour and well fashioned as to look exactly like the one on T.V.
The character of fifi is a moulded part of the car which I think if fantastic as many of the character toys have detachable parts that inevitably become detached and find there separate ways into the bottom of a toy box or strangely in to my car footwall??
This is nicely powered by a simple push down on fifi's basket which when released powers the car well across my room. It also has fifi speaking just the one phrase 'off we go mo brummmmmm' which can get a little annoying after the 52nd consecutive time and it also honks every so often.
My downstairs is all open plan so my daughter loves chasing around and this car works on my carpet and lino.
I would defiantly recommend this inexpensive toy for your child to have lots of fun with.

For a while there, my daughter was mad on Fifi (she now has moved on to Toy Story at mo) and loved anything associated with it so when I saw this in my local Tesco, I knew I just had to get it for her! She already had a shake 'n' go Elephant car (You put in batteries, give it a shake and put it on the floor just in time to see it shooting off with an almighty trumpeting) and I figured if I got this, we could have ourselves a little race! Boys heh?!?
Basically the idea with this is that you push down the flowerpot on the back of Fifi's mower and the car shoots off across the floor with a cry of "Off we go, Mo!" It goes pretty fast and certainly gave the elephant car a run for its money!
I got this on three for two so am not sure of the exact cost but know it was under a tenner! It takes batteries but we have had this since Xmas and they have not died yet despite a fair bit of playing so am not too sure what size it takes. Amazon states "Batteries required - 3 x LR44" but the product is currently out of stock there so don't quote me on that!
If your child likes Fifi, then they won't be disappointed with this! It doesn't do a hell of a lot but often it is the simple things that keep them amused for longer! As for in our household, I am sure that this will come back in favour shortly as though my daughter's Fifi obsession has faded for now, it still remains a strong favourite even if it is not number one right now!
My Fifi mad daughters received this as a gift when they were aged 18 months and 2 and they've had hours of fun with it.
This toy features Fifi, sitting in her little car (called Mo). You can only see Fifi's head, body and arms and she cannot be removed from the car. Her hands are gripping Mo's steering wheel and can be moved to look as though she is steering the car.
The toy is 6 inches long, 5 inches wide and 7 inches high. Mo is bright red with blue and yellow wheels. His headlights are made to look like eyes and on his front bonnet he has a flower for his nose and a banana for a smiley mouth.
Directly behind Fifi there is a yellow basket which is made to look like it is full of plants (this is also moulded to the car and cannot be removed).
To operate the car, you push down hard on the yellow basket. This winds up the mechanism and if you do it on a level, flat surface (wooden floors or laminate are ideal) Fifi will comfortably travel for about 10 feet.
Underneath the car there is a little screw in battery compartment which contains 3 LR44 watch-type batteries. There is also an on/off switch on the underside of the car.
If you switch the car on, the only difference it makes to the play function is some noises. As you press down on the yellow basket you hear Fifi saying "off we go Mo" followed by a beep beep sound. Other than that, it has no effect on the operation of the car.
My daughters love just sitting on the floor sending this car back and forward to each other, or aiming it like a missile at objects around the house.
I've seen this toy on sale at prices varying from £4.99 to £9.99. If you shop around, this is a great little Fifi toy at a reasonable price.
I should also say that after 2 years of heavy use, this car is still going strong and it's taken quite a battering!
