My son got this the other week for his birthday. He was jumping for joy when he opened it.

Contents of the box:
2 Different track layouts

3 short straights
36 corners
2 cross overs
1 lap counter
Power Adapter
2 controllers
1 Ferrari car
1 Williams car
28 Crash Barriers
Start/Finish line
Bridge supports

He had apparently seen an advert on television for it! His uncle and I spent some time putting it together. It didn't take more then 5-10 minutes and we were ready to start playing. All the bits clip and slot into place without much hassle. As the little one was very eager to get going it was quite handy that it wasn't one of these toys that takes ages to be set up!

We grabbed a couple batteries and got the controllers out. After one race we had managed to test the crash barriers and found them not to be doing their job. The cars quite easily flip into and over them. As a family we are all competitive and ruff with games so we were trying to make the cars go as fast as they were able to but we had to slow down as they couldn't make it round the track. They were still going rather fast so we had a good time and I won against my son so all is well in the world! :)

The toys itself retails jus under £20. I wouldn't have bought it myself but it was a fun evening.

I'll probably be putting it away soon as no one has even looked at it since his birthday. I know it's only been a few days but I'm getting that feeling that us parents get sometimes. Now and again fad toys show up and they take up space and only get played with once or twice. It happens all the time but thankfully this time I didn't have to pay for it so I'm not bothered! :)

We've already chucked the box into the recycling which was collected this morning so I don't know the age of this game. It's probably a 6 years+ but a 3 year old cousin had a good time playing with it so I'll leave it to a parents own judgment.

To be honest I would be happier spending money on the other Hot Wheels sets as a lot of them can connect to eachother so it can get rather interesting.
