This Peppa Pig Campervan features in the TV series and my girls have always been very taken with it so I thought I would get them one for Christmas. It seemed quite hard to get hold of at a reasonable price when I started looking so tried ebay for a second hand one. I was lucky to get one with all the accessories at a reasonable price. What do you get? The bright yellow Campervan is in 2 parts so your child can lift off the roof and windows to access the seats and storage inside. Included inside were a Peppa, her little brother George and a Mummy and Daddy pig. All the characters have moving arms and legs which allow your child to play with them more than the fixed to a base versions. To make the campervan complete your child has a few accessories to play with, a shower, fridge, barbecue with food grill, table and the campervan seats are removable to be used as benches with the table. The roof of the campervan has a canopy that can be moved in and out using a little wheel on the front of the roof. This seems quite delicate and quite a few listed on ebay noted that this part was broken. Ours has so far remained intact. Play time? Both my 3 year olds love this and it is one of the most played with toys from Christmas. It's wheels go round so they can push it along and they will happily sit for ages putting all the characters and accessories in the campervan before setting off with it across the road. Although a decent size it isn't really big enough for 2 children to play with so there have been a few arguments but I'm pleased that they both like it and want to be playing with it. We have other Peppa Pig sets so other characters have been 'invited' on holiday and this campervan makes a nice addition to our collection. Price and availability This set will cost you around £25 new, it is currently £24.99 at Toys r us which I think is expensive and why I bought second hand. I paid about £15 for mine including postage which I was pleased with. Would I recommend? Yes, this is a fun set which includes all the Pig family which not many of the sets do. There are plenty of opportunities for imaginative play with this toy and I'm glad that I bought it. I'm only knocking one star off because I think it is overpriced.
WHAT IS IT? A campervan play set from the Peppa Pig programme. WHAT DO YOU GET IN THE SET? The campervan looks just like the one that has started being shown on recent Peppa Pig episodes. It is yellow and very good looking, the figures and accessories all fit into the campervan but it is a squeeze. The character figures are very shiny and cheap looking but it is nice that you get all 4 Peppa, George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Their legs move a little bit but only enough to let them sit on the chairs that comes with this set. You get a camping table, BBQ, portable shower and camping plates. The plates are very small and easily lost, all of ours are gone now and I think the have been sucked up the hoover when I have been cleaning. WHAT I THINK I bought this for my daughter last year when she was 5 and she has enjoyed playing with it but has now got bored. She is nearly 7 so getting too old for Peppa Pig but this is one of the toys from the programme that is a bit more grown up than the babyish cars and trains that are made for babies. The roof of the campervan falls off sometimes and that has been something that has always frustrated my daughter because it happens when the campervan is being pushed and that's a shame because the wheel motion is smooth. The accessories are a bit flimsy and I do not think they would hold for very long if you bought this for a young child. The age on it is 3 but even though its a character for this age the campervan is not sturdy enough to be played with boisterously plus the accessories apart from the figures are too fiddly. It's lasted good but because of all the little pieces a lot of things have been lost, this is not the fault of my daughter because I do not see why they made the accessories so small anyway and I think it is just so they can say there are more pieces in the set. ANYTHING ELSE This Peppa Pig campervan set costs about £25. That is expensive but I think it is quite good value because you get the figures as well as the car. 4 Dooyoo Stars.
Last summer our lovely neighbour handed down a whole box full of Peppa Pig toys. My 4 year old daughter loves Peppa Pig so needless to say I had a very peaceful afternoon whilst she explored her new toys! I am not one to buy my children TV related toys - or clothes. I kind of hate they watch as much as they do anyway....but I love (and need!) the peace it gives me! In fact, the double bill of Peppa Pig at 8.15am on Milkshake is when I used to know I could leave them and nip upstairs uninterrupted to get dressed and ready for the day ahead! Unfortunately we now have to leave for school before Peppa even starts! However, I don't want to extend TV into their play away from the TV. I also know how quickly their favourite programmes change, last year it was Show Me, Show Me and Same Smile, this year it's Octonauts and Tree Fu Tom (sorry non Cbeebies viewers!) so I have always felt that TV themed toys will soon be rejected very quickly. That said both her and her younger brother have played with the Peppa Pig toys a LOT! And the Camper Van is without doubt the favourite part of the kit for both of them! The Camper Van comes in two halves. The whole top half comes off (from above the yellow doors) allowing good access to the main part of the van. In the main part of the van are two purple seats with different sized indentations in which you can securely sit Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, Peppa and George - all of whom are included in the set. These seem pretty solid and have moveable arms and legs. The seats can be taken out and used with the table and barbeque for al fresco dining. Looking at the image above it looks like there are other parts to the set, but these must have been long gone before we got the set. In the roof of the campervan is a blue veranda which can either be pulled out manually, or there is a dial which can be turned to extend it. The dial is very small and fiddley even for me so my daughter tends to pull it out manually. The danger here is that it gets pulled out completely, but it slots back in easily enough so this isn't a major problem. As I said, this was handed down to us. It has obviously been played with, there are a few scuffs of paint missing, but other than cosmetic damage everything is in working order and standing up to the battering my now 2 year old son is giving it! The only problem with this set is that the roof does not fit on the base very securely so when the van is being pushed around it tends to fall off. This isn't too much of a problem for my 4 year old as she can put it back on, but it used to cause a lot of stress for my then 18 month old. Both of them now tend to not bother with the roof too much and seem quite happy to do so. Although they have both loved playing with the Peppa Pig Camper Van, it hasn't changed my mind about TV themed toys. They would have loved this toy even if it wasn't related to Peppa Pig, this set costs around £20 which I don't think is such a bad price considering it comes with all 4 characters and a few other accessories. However, I certainly would not have paid this price for it! I have looked online and you can buy other non themed campervan toys for a similar price, and considerably better ones for not much more! Plan Toys do a fantastic wooden one for around £35, which I know is a whole £15 more but I am sure a time will come when the Peppa Pig toys are 'babyish', but I think this will come quite a long time before they outgrow 'small world' play.
My daughter is a huge peppa pig fan, and I bought this set for her after a long, and fruitless search to buy daddy pig. It cost me £25, and the set included the camper van, bbq set, and all 4 family figures- each of these have moveable hands and legs unlike the ones which have painted arms. The camper van has a pull out awning- this is great, but doesn't feel that robust for impatient 2 and 3 yr olds- that being said, it hasn't broken...yet! The roof also lifts off, to allow you to position the figures inside. This is a nice feature, but I'd prefer it if the roof secured better when on- young children don't pick things up from the bottom, and generally grab from the top, this results in the bottom part crashing to the floor. Inside the is a shower which comes out, a reversible bbq, table set which you can assemble/disassemble to fit back in the van, and the camper van seats which are removable. Overall this set was worth it, as we now have a complete family, but in my opinion isn't as good value as some of the other sets you can often find at half price.
My daughter received a huge amount of toys for her second birthday last November. Some were instant hits with her and some, like this Peppa Pig campervan, were not. The set my daughter received is slightly different to the set in the picture. This is because it didn't come with as many accessories. Our set had the campervan, the table and one figurine of Peppa Pig. I'm not really sure why it didn't contain as many accessories, maybe they would have enhanced by daughters experience with this toy but I cannot be sure. Straight from the word go my daughter had problems pushing the campervan, it is kind of cut in half so the top half including the windows and roof can be taken off to put figures inside etc. The way in which the two halves are separated means that when trying to move the campervan around as a whole, the top just comes straight off. This makes it near on impossible for my daughter to push as a whole as she usually tries to push it from the back. I've tried pushing it from the top and it just tips the campervan over, nightmare. The accessories with our set aren't as exciting as the accessories included in the picture, we have the table, Peppa figurine and the two set of chairs. The chairs come from the inside of the campervan, they are easy to pull out of the campervan so have two uses. One use is as the normal seats in the campervan and the other to use beside the picnic table so Peppa has somewhere to sit when eating at the table. The table is quite basic, the legs can be folded up so that it fits into the campervan, it has plates painted on the table to give it a little decoration. The Peppa Pig figurine is the exactly the same as the figurines that come with all other Peppa Pig play sets with bendable arms and legs. Each one of the accessories fits inside the campervan so that when it's not being played with they can all be stored together. This sounds great in theory, but the issue with the top of the campervan falling off all of the time, it is only a good place for storage if it is sat in the bottom of my daughter toy box stood up so the lid doesn't fall off and the pieces don't get lost amongst my daughters other toys. This set hasn't been played with much. The top half of the campervan coming off really makes this toy useless unless you have a child that likes pushing round half of a vehicle, my daughter doesn't, so it gets played with once in a blue moon. I'm not sure how much my daughters uncle paid for this set, but I found an identical set on Amazon for £13. The campervan play set that includes more accessories is, of course, more expensive. I wouldn't recommend this play set for Peppa Pig fans, the problem with the top half of the campervan falling off constantly is annoying both for my daughter and for me. It's destined to live life at the bottom of the toy box!
My 3 year old daughter received this for Christmas last year, as she is a 'mild' Peppa Pig fan, and she was getting the World of Playsets (see review) so I thought this would go with it all very nicely. It was on sale in Home Bargains I think for about £15 so I thought that was a good price, especially since Peppa Pig toys seem ridiculously expensive. In the set you get the campervan with removable lid/roof, a BBQ, fridge, picnic table, shower, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Peppa Pig and George. The seats also come out of the campervan so you can use them as picnic benches. The set all looks pretty good and it's amazing that you receive the whole pig family with this set because usually with Peppa Pig playsets you are limited to one Peppa character and have to buy the rest separately. The result of this little scam is that we have numerous Peppa Pigs and only a few other characters. Anyway, I digress... The campervan is a nice size and there is plenty of room inside to fit your Peppa Pig characters plus some of the other accessories. The lid lifts off very easily, so easily in fact that ours never goes back on because getting it to fit back on properly is quite a task and even I cannot figure it out, so my kids have got no chance. But they prefer the roof off anyway so they can play with it better. The roof also has a retractable awning which comes in and out when you turn a wheel on the back - this is a pointless feature because the roof is never on so this never gets used, and when it has been used it has been broken anyway because it is quite flimsy. The problem with this set up is that it would have been nice to have another entry point into the campervan without having to lift the entire roof off - I mean who has ever seen a real campervan where the entire top section lifts off?! They could have included an opening side or rear door. The accessories such as the BBQ, fridge and shower, although very fitting with the whole campervan scene, are also pretty useless - these are usually left at the bottom of the toy box when my kids are playing with this toy. The picnic table however, does get some use, although my children never take the seats out of the campervan to use them as seats to go around the table. Overall I would say for the money (currently priced at £24.99 on the Toys R Us website) it's quite good value, especially since you receive 4 characters with the set, and the campervan is quite good for taking the characters for a ride around the living room. However, if I persuade my children to play with the mountain of Peppa Pig toys they have, this is not one of the preferred choices - they much prefer the swings, roundabout and slide that we have in our possession.
This is a lovely little play set for any Peppa Pig fan. Santa brought this about 2 years ago for my middle son who was 5yrs at the time and it has now been passed onto my littley who is 3yrs. It has all the characteristics you would expect to find with the Peppa Pig range, it's very cartoon like, and very child friendly. It is very pleasing to look at and with a bit of child like imagination, it looks fun to play with. Inside the box you get ~ The campervan. Daddy Pig, Mummy Pig, Peppa Pig and George Pig. Shower. Barbecue. Fridge. Table. Chairs. The chairs are the seats of the actually Campervan but are removable and can be used at the table at dinner time! There is a little groove in each seat where each character can be sat in it's own place. The table has foldable legs and the crockery is moulded onto the table, so you needn't worry about loosing little tiny plates etc. The barbecue is green and colour and is barrel shaped, the tray inside shows different food cooking. The fridge and shower don't have any special features and don't do anything. They just look cute. The campervan has a retractable awning, I did find this a bit flimsy but when it came off it was easy enough to clip it back on. It is a fun feature of this toy. My son said it was there to keep the sun out of Peppa and George's eyes! The top half of the campervan comes off completely for putting the seats and the family back in. I did find that when the kids were pushing it around this did slip off quite a lot, but it wasn't a problem for them and it didn't really bother them. The campervan is a nice bright yellow colour, it looks like a VW camper and it's really cute. I would recommend this for any Peppa Pig fan. Another thing I really liked is that the whole family are included in the set, it annoys me when only one character is included in sets and the other's cost about £8 each, so I found this really nice. Amazon are selling these for £23.68, but Toys'r'us have them for £19.99.
We have had this Caravan set for a couple of years now, and is now being played with a second time round with our yougest proving how sturdy this set is. On first inspection it does seem to be a bit on the flimsy side and I honesty though that it would not stand to test of time but it has. It is quite expensive, around £15-£25 depending on where you buy it. In the set is The little Yellow Campervan, Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig, A BBQ, Fridge, Camping Table and Shower. The Campervan has an awing that can be pulled out and the top half of it comes off to get access to the seats and characters inside, the seats even come out to be used as benches with the table thats included. It states the age of this toy is 3 plus, which I feel is about right as the arms and legs on the figures are moveable therefore could come off and be a hazard. however my 2 year old plays with it and we haven't had a problem. I definate must for all Peppa Pig Fans.
I bought the Peppa Pig Campervan for my 2 Peppa Pig obsessed daughters (aged 2 and 4). The campervan is yellow and white on the outside and blue and purple on the inside. It is about 12 inches long, 6 inches wide and about 10 inches high. It has four turning wheels, so can be rolled along the floor. The roof of the campervan can be completely lifted off, allowing easy access to the inside of the vehicle. Inside there are 2 rows of seats which are moulded so that the characters sit easily in them. Behind the seats is a boot space, which is a handy place to store the campervans many accessories. I was quite impressed with the number of extras that come with the campervan. You get 4 Peppa Pig characters - Daddy, Mummy, Peppa and George, a BBQ which has an opening lid and a grill with food on it, a shower, a fridge, a picnic table and 2 chairs. The roof of the campervan has an extendable awning, which you can either pull out, or there is a tiny dial at the front of the lid which you turn to make it come out. The dial is a little bit fiddly for tiny fingers and most of the time my girls just shake the awning out. This toy has no sounds or flashing lights, so no batteries are required. I paid £14.99 for this in B&M Bargains, which I think was reasonable. I have seen it priced as high as £29.99, which I personally think is too much for what it is. Any Peppa Pig fans will love this campervan and have hours of fun with it.
Both my children love Peppa Pig and for christmas my daughter (3) was bought the house, playground set etc and she wasnt really interested but my son (1) wouldnt leave them alone! So when I saw the campervan for £14.99 in our local B & M store (currently advertised online for £30) I had to buy it for easter. I couldnt wait for him to see it and when he did he couldnt wait to get it out the box. I loved the detail and the accessories you got with it as usually you wont get a full family-I have only 2 sets and mummy and daddy but about 10 of peppa and george! But in this you got them all. You also get a fridge, a table with place settings on, a shower and a BBQ that has a pull out grill (dont see the point in this as my son drives me mad wanting it back in when it falls straight back out a minute later!) Plus everything fits into the back of the van so easy for storage. The details are great and I was impressed with everything in the set until my son tried to roll it across the floor. As he did this he has his hands on top of the van and it just kept falling into the 2 halves. He struggled to fit the top back onto the bottom as theres a slight ridge so it has to slot together but off he sets again and it falls apart! This toy now very rarely gets played with unless hes just putting the family in and out but he doesnt have the same excitement on his face anymore like he did at first. The other thing I struggle with on this is at the top of the van there is a small wheel that when you turn pushes the awning out of the side but I actually really struggle to push this as it seems to be in a very awkward posistion and stiff, I actually just pull it ou the side without using the wheel! This products a dissapoinment as it looks so good and the bits you get with it are very cute and quite well made its just a shame that it cant be pushed along the floor.
My daughter is an avid Peppa Pig fan - and this was amongst the plethora of Peppa Pig goodies she get for christmas. And, out of all the Peppa Pig products she got - this was my favourite. Firstly - i was impressed that it came with all the characters included. Very often Peppa Pig toys will only come with Peppa and George characters - but this came with Daddy Pig and Mummy Pig included also. You also get the camper van, a barbeque and fold out table and a fridge and shower - plus the van itself. My daughter loves playing with it and taking the whole family out on picnics. The figures are sturdy in the body but have quite flimsy arms (as do all the Peppa Pig figures - not just this one) but the fit nicely inside the van and my daughter loves interacting with them. Its a lovely toy - and if your going to buy any Peppa Pig toy i would advise this one and avoid the others - at least with this you'll get all the figures.
I purchased this for my little one when she first started her Peppa Pig phase and this was reduced at Argos to £14.99. I think I got a bargain, it is the Peppa toy that she has had the most use out of. It is for 3 years and over due to smal parts. -------------What you get for your money---------------- Included in the price is: Daddy Pig Mummy Pig Peppa Pig George Pig The Campervan (the top lifts off this and it has a sun canopy that pulls out from the roof) The Seats - these can be used in the Campervan or as furniture out of the campervan A BBQ with a detachable grill section Picnic Table Shower! A fridge So everything you need for imaginative play about going out for the day in a Campervan. --------------The Downside------------ The grill section with the food on for the BBQ is very small and fiddly, therefore easy to lose! Also the roof to the campervan is quite hard to line up with the bottom so if you little one is easily frustrated this could be an issue. --------------The Upside---------------- This toy is really versatile, my daughter enjoyed playing with it as a vehicle but also really enjoyed setting up pretend campsites and getting the characters to interact with each other. --------------Where to get one-------------- This is available from Toys r Us, Amazon and small independant toy shops. It is no longer stocked in the Argos catalogue however. This is sometimes quite hard to get hold of. -------------The Verdict!------------- A great toy, fun to play with but is quite fiddly for children who are only just three therefore I am giving it four stars.
My daughter is a massive Peppa Pig fan and when she asked for the Peppa Pig Camper Van I was over the moon, I always wanted a toy camper van when I was a kid but never got one so this was my chance to re-live my youth. I brought the camper van from Toys R Us and it cost me £20. What do you get? A bright yellow van The top of the van comes of to allow you to get the family in and out also the lid of the camper van has a retractable awning. The lid of the van was quite tricky to but on as you has to get it lined up perfectly, which is not great for little hands. The awning on my van broke after a couple of weeks of buying it The family You get Daddy pig, Mummy Pig, Peppa Pig and George. I did think even tho this toy is aimed at over 3 year olds I thought George was very small Other pieces You get a fridge, picnic table (which is hard to but together), a BBQ (the grill of the bbq comes out and is easily lost) the chairs are also the seats of the camper van and for some strange reason there a shower. For me there are to many little parts that are easily lost even for the most careful child. It is also very fidderly and I found I had to help my little girl a lot with putting the vans roof on again and again. Even tho I didn't think this was a great product my little girl does love it and plays with it all the time so I am glad I brought it.
this was. the best present my daughter got for her 2nd birthday and 6 months after she still plays with it everyday. tou get peppa george mummy pig and daddy pig the big campervan picnic table (which is the only thing that is broken) shower and bbq. the seats come out of the campervan so you can set them up that they are outside having a bbq while dady pig is having a shower etc and the campervan has a sun shade that winds out sothey can be sitting in the shade. it has gven my daughter hours of fun. cant say how much they cost as my brother bought it for her as a present but like i have said before it was the best thing anyone could have bought her she is evening playing with it right now as i am writing this and its only seven in the morning lol. anyone looking to buy this for a peepa pg lover i say yes they will love it i havent had any problems .
Peppa Pig is a huge favourite in our house and my daughter was desperate for this for her 3rd birthday. I spent hours searching through the internet to try and get one as they appeared to be sold out everywhere except ebay where they were all way over priced. Eventually I found them at Wilkinson Plus by accident while looking for something else and they were actually cheaper there than anywhere else. It looked really good in the picture but everyone else seemed to be having the same problem so I could really find any review of how good this was. When it arrived we were all excited and when we opened our excitement was found to be justified. The campervan itself is yellow with clear windows real turning wheels and a spare wheel on the front. The whole top half including the windows lifts off providing get access for playing. On back of the roof there is a same wheel to turn and this allows the awning to come out of the side of the roof. It is really cool and fairly easy to operate. Inside there are 2 bench style seats with shaped parts for Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Peppa and George to sit. They fit in really well and do not fall off. The benches are removable so they can sit on them outside the camper to have their picnic. There is a BBQ which opens and the food tray on it hase fish and corn. There is a folding table which is set ready to eat (the cutlery etc is only a picture on the table), a fridge and an outdoor shower. This set has provided hours off fun and is much better quality than the original Peppa Pig house.
Have a fun day out camping with Peppa Pig and all her family.
