My eldest child had a collection of wooden cars and trucks and a fold-out poster of a town for them to drive around. When my youngest came along I got all the toys that had been living in the loft out. Not sure what it was about these wooden toys but it made me smile bringing them out of the box and setting them out for my little one.
I was looking for something for my eldest on Amazon one day and came across some more wooden toys. I ended up ordering him a bus for the wooden town and a few people as until now he'd been putting the Happy Land people in the town. He was so happy to get the bus and started playing with it straight away.
The paint on the older ones has worn a bit but you can still see the designs but they are about 5 years old and well-loved now. The newer ones are only about 6 months old and still look great even though my youngest isn't very gentle with them.
Recommended for children aged 3 years plus but my little one has been happily playing with them since he was about a year old (obviously under supervision).
Great gift and under £5 so can't go wrong really. Plan Toys has a big range of these wooden toys. Worth having a look at their range no matter what age group you have. I'll be writing a review soon about a game we got from them (Balancing Cactus) so keep a look out for it. If I ever have a little girl I'll be buying their Victorian style wooden doll house!
Go have a play!
