I must say first of all that I'm very surprised to find that this is actually some kind of collector's item? Our daughter picked this up at a car boot sale for her son for just 20p because he wanted a bus. I've just had a look on the Amazon site, and it's £20.49! It's described as being 1:55 scale so I think that means it's intended for model sets like railways. This review is from a toy point of view though!
This is a lovely little bus that's really solid and sturdy. You can tell it isn't cheap plastic just by picking it up because it's really very weighty. Not too weighty that a child can't happily play with though. This toy moves easily and is friction powered so you can pull it back and release it on hard surfaces.
This is a great interactive little bus for slightly older children as the door actually opens on a hinge and there's a little stop sign on the side of the bus that folds in and out too. I don't think this is suitable for children under four or five because of how easily these features could be broken.
Through the little Perspex windows you can see all the little seats in rows which I think is a lovely extra touch. If you see this on sale for around £5 or £6, up to £10 even, then it really is a lovely little toy with great details that is solidly built and will last for a long time. I do not believe it is worth £20 though!
High quality die cast US school bus model.
