This Engine Playset from the Take Along Thomas range is one of our grandson's favourite toys at the moment. My daughter only paid £14.99 for this though it is usually £19.99 which is still a good price for this set I think.


Inside the shed there are six chunky pieces of train track which come out to click together and form a train track for Thomas and his friends to chug along on. You get a Thomas included in the set but you can buy more of the Take Along Thomas trains and store up to eight trains inside this play engine set if you want to. The grandson has Percy and James (the green and red ones) in his and we picked them up on sale in Tesco for £2.49 each though surprisingly you can expect to pay around £4.99 each for additional trains which is where the expense really comes from!


Also included in this set is a little turn table and a barrier on a crossing bit which makes the set a bit more interesting than if it was just a plain circuit. This is all quite easy to set up once you've tried a few times though I do recommend helping little ones out until they've got the hang of it. What my grandson especially likes about this set is that when it's tidy up time he can just chuck it all in the engine shed carry box and he's good to go.


I think this is a really great Thomas playset that's good value for money and fun for little Thomas fans to use. I like how convenient it is to store it all together too.
