      Perfect accessory

The wooden accessory pack is a great addition to any wooden railway set. It is made by the German company Legler who specialise in wooden toys and you can really tell that in the detail.

My son got a wooden Thomas the Tank Engine railway set for his birthday but it only came with a couple of trees to scatter round so I went online to find some extras for it. I found this accessory pack for £16.50, a bit more than I wanted to pay but it did look like good quality and I definately wanted wooden and not plastic so I ordered it.

It comes with 18 pieces altogether and I was very impressed when it arrived. Each piece is beautifully made, the colours are bright and well painted and there is great detail on each piece.

There are no sharp corners, each piece was rounded off perfectly and the finish on each piece was smooth.

The idea of the pieces is that they are portraying well known buildings and land marks from around the world.

There are the Pyramids and sphinxes painted in a bright yellow with detail of the bricks, The Statue of Liberty with the torch, London Bridge, South Pole, North Pole, Windmills with tiny little tulips painted at the bottom, the Eiffel Tower and the Great Wall of China. The Poles have fishermen, polar bears and penguins built on them. The colours are great and the attention to detail is perfect. It is a great way of getting your child to learn about the world without them realising it. We visited London recently and my son pointed out the London Bridge just from recognising it from his railway set.

The sizes of each piece are just right, and the pieces have their uses apart from just being good to scatter round. London Bridge is an actual bridge for the trains to go across and the Great Wall of China is good for lifting the tracks to use different levels.

These pieces can be used with any railway track, or even with lego, dolls houses and just in role playing games. the ages are 3-10 and they are ideal.

Great 18 piece accessory for any make of wooden trainsets. This pack includes a range of famous buildings and scenes from around the world. Tower Bridge is actually a bridge, and the Great Wall of China can also be used to carry raised tracks.
