I love Sudoku puzzles and so when my parents bought me Carol Voderman's handheld Suduko game I was more than happy. The device is a decent size for a hand-held game but for people with poor vision the screen may be too small. It runs on 3 AAA batteries but unfortunately none are provided. I have found however that the batteries do last an extremely long time. I put a decent set of Duracell's in mine and the battery power lasted for, I estimate, about 50 hours. The machine contains Sudoku puzzles of varying difficulty (easy, medium and hard), which can be accessed by sliding a button across to the required difficult and then requesting a new grid ... What is it about Sudoku? It seems to have taken over the World. Everywhere you go you see people doing Sudoku on their PDAs, fighting over the page of the newspaper that has the Sudoku puzzle on it, doing Sudoku puzzles out of paperbacks as thick as an average novel. Yes, OK, I do them too. So does my wife. There's usually a battle for the page of the daily with the Sudoku puzzle on it. For Christmas my wife bought me The Times Su Doku (Correct spelling! It's an abbreviation of a phrase that, roughly translated means “Only one of each number”) Book 2 and then proceeded to do most of them herself!
