      Great little hoover

When my eldest son was younger he was rally scared of the noise of the hoover. He loved to play with the hoover as long as it wasnt plugged in. Then one day whilst out shopping in toys r us he spotted the casdon 514 dyson dc07 vacume cleaner. He thought it was great, he ran straight too it pretending to hoover like mummy. We brought it for him.

I think we paid about £20 for it. It came in a box where you had to put it together. This was really easy to do. It stood 69cm in height and required 4x c betteries. Its made of a really sturdy purple and green plastic, its really eye catching and looks like the real thing. There is a pipe at the back which can detatch from the hoover so you can get into all the small spaces with it. There are thre attachments for this pipe and once switched on it really picks up.

My son really loved this hoover and it got him used to me doning the hoovering aswell. I would reccomend this toy.

        Hours of endless cleaning!

When my daughter was little she was terrified of my vacuum cleaner. It was an absolute nightmare trying to get any of my house vacuumed and I actually had to take her to my grans so that I could get this done. We then discovered the Casdon 514 Dyson DC07 Vacuum Cleaner and had the idea that maybe she would help instead of screaming. As I also have a Dyson they are quite similar.

This toy is fabulous. Putting it together couldn’t be simpler as there are only three pieces that snap together. The bright green and purple colouring is extremely eye catching. The vacuum cleaner is approximately 30 inches tall and moves in the same way as the real one. This product requires 4 C batteries which are not supplied but are easy enough to put in. This allows for two separate noises to be made: one for the hose and one for when vacuuming up right.

Like the real thing the hose detaches to allow to get in to those hard to reach places. There are also three attachments supplied for the hose. The hose is attached to a small plastic box within the vacuum which can be taking out and emptied because it does actually pick up some very small crumbs.

When vacuuming up right the cylinder is clear (like the real one). To give the impression that dirt is being picked up there is small, multi-coloured foam pieces which spin. This is an added effect which just adds to the authenticity of the item.

This item is also very versatile and is made of fairly strong plastic.

My daughter loves this item and is cured from her fear of vacuum cleaners. She plays with it on a very regular basis and spent twenty minutes the other day vacuuming under the chairs! This really is a fantastic product. It is recommended for children of 3+ but my daughter received this for her second birthday and gets the full use of it.

I bought this product from Toys R Us for £16.74 (excluding batteries). It can also be bought from Amazon for the same price with free postage and packing.

          Now everyone can clean together!

I don't know if everyone's children are the same, but both my daughters have a fascination with all the household chores, and love helping me do the cleaning, washing, vacuuming, etc! Well I think this is fantastic and hoping to encourage these helpful traits even more, there was an obvious choice of what to buy my daughter for her second birthday - the Casdon 514 Dyson DC07 Vacuum Cleaner!

Of course it's not the real thing, but this toy is such a fantastic imitation! It looks like a dyson! It moves like a dyson! It even sounds like a dyson! My daughter was thrilled to bits when she discovered this on her birthday and has been busy vacuuming away ever since! However, the one downside with it is that it does not actually pick up dirt like a real dyson, so I have had to carry on vacuuming as well!

So, what do you get? It arrives in a reasonably sized box - not so big that you don't realise that you are going to have to put this together for your little one. This is not too difficult a task though as there are really only three main bits and these all snap together very easily. It consists of everything you would expect with a normal dyson - the drum bit that collects all the dirt, a long detachable handle that you can use as an attachment and a couple of different fittings that you can put on the end of it (just like Mummy's!)

The cleaner does require batteries in order to do everything that it is capable of. These are four C batteries and these are not supplied with the toy. We didn't realise this at first, so my daughter spent the first few days just pushing it around without any of the effects, and to tell the truth she was actually quite happy with this. If we eventually had not got round to getting the batteries she would have been none the wiser! But we had paid for all the extra effects, and she was going to get them!

This is where this toy really comes into it's own. Anyone who has a real Dyson will know that the main drum for collecting the dirt is transparent so that you can see all your dirt swirling around inside! Well, it is the same with the toy, but very kindly, we are supplied not with real dirt but some very attractive coloured beads that swirl around once the cleaner is switched on to one setting. On another setting you don't get the swirling beads but you do get an extremely authentic vacuum cleaner noise! These are actually described as imitation vortex and working vacuum action! If I thought my daughter was excited when she first saw this, it was nothing compared to her delight when she was able to switch it on and it worked! (I'm so glad we eventually bought the batteries!) And the good thing, from a parent's view, is that it is really not that noisy - in fact it is actually rather soothing!

So, we've only had this toy a few weeks, but it is certainly holding my daughter's interest and does seem to stand up to some heavy duty knocks. It is also very easy to clean after mucky fingers have been on it! It stands at 69cm high which seems to be a good height for my two year old.

We bought our Casdon 514 Dyson DC07 Vacuum Cleaner from Amazon for £14.99. Even when you add in the price of the batteries I think this is a pretty good buy! Even though I have two girls, I have friends who have bought it for their little boys, and they have loved it just as much!
