A Tardis shaped money box to store your coins.
I was given this money box as a gift quite a few years ago (2006?), although not being sold in shops anymore it can be found online on Amazon for £6.99.
Mine is a bit different as instead of the 9th Doctor and Rose in the picture it includes the 10th Doctor and Rose. Apart from that everything else is the same. The product is a money box in the shape of a tardis.
Others would also not be able to tell it is a money box unless they are fiddling around with it. To open and insert money into the box you click open the tardis's double doors. This opens showing a slot to put money into the box along with the picture of the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) and Rose (Billie Piper). There is an option to turn sound effects on and off, which includes a button at the bottom of the box.
With the sound effects on when you open the tardis doors it makes a clicking noise and you get to hear the 10th Doctor saying a different phrase everytime the door opens. (Such as did you miss me?, Remote controlled... but who's controlling it? - there are 4-5 different phrases) and once you close the doors it makes the sound of the tardis materialising and the blue light flashes on and off.
The money is easily taken out of the box from a round slot hole at the bottom, and the lid is easily screwed and unscrewed. The money box is 8 inches in size and requires 3 AAA batteries. It is also made of hard plastic and so would not break easily. I tend to have turned the sound effects off as the novelty wore off after the first few uses but as a money box it's quite useful.
Overall it's a good novelty item and similar in colour and design of the actual tardis, therefore giving it 5 stars.
This review can also be found on ciao.
Summary: A great little money box to store your spare change that all fans of the show would like.
