 ... buttons on the console a little tricky to deal with. Other than that, he loved it. Form a parent's perspective, the product was rather expensive. Also, its rather flimsy construction (a surprise given the undoubted quality of most of the Character Options range) makes it difficult to handle. the worst aspect was the cardboard interior/exterior panels: my son is not a destructive boy by any means but the cardboard got into such a bad state that I had to throw it away after a couple of years wear and tear....more

Surely the centrepiece of any Doctor Who fan's collection, I bought this (rather pricey) playset for my son a couple of years ago as his obsession with grew to mammoth proportions. As with most of the Character Options range, it is well sculpted, has some fine details and is very well painted. Perhaps the best feature of this product are the interactive buttons that allow the recreation of various Tardis actions such as flight, 'distress mode' etc. My son loved this, although as a (then) three year old he found both the swith to activate this feature and the various buttons on the console a little tricky to deal with. Do I love Doctor Who? Yes! Am I a Big Kid? Yes! So I think it's clear to say that when a younger neighbour of mine passed me down her Tardis Playset she no longer wanted, I was overjoyed!
