I bought this for my daughter as she loved playing it at a friend's house. I was really disappointed with it. It won't play CDs on battery power alone so we had to but another charger which cost us another £15! It also won't play my daughters CDs which are a bit scratched, unlike our standard CD player which plays them fine. We have another standard CD player which she used before and has since gone back to using. The mikes are ok but they need to hold them too close to their mouths to make them work and the result is muffled shouting! Very annoying. This product looks great but unlike other ELC products just isn't well. It was also fairly expensive. What a letdown! The buttons are clear and this would appear to make it more children friendly but most kids today are so ICT savvy i don't find they have a problem using devices designed for an adult!
