Advantages: well made,good design

Disadvantages: none

Quite often whilst on holiday our children would want to photograph the places we visited. Being aged 2,6 and 9 we would hand them the camera and remind them to be careful. This someitmes spoilt things for them as they were as worried as we were about them dropping it and causing damage.

The solution to this was to buy them their own camera, it would need to be resilient to knocks, easy to use and reasonably priced.

The answer was the Fisher Price kids camera, this has been designed with the youngster in mind. The case is tough abs plastic to stand up to being dropped, theres only 2 buttons, one for the flash the other to take the picture.

It is also safe to let the younger children loose with as they haev though about what mischief they could get up to. The pictures have to be wound on before snapping, so a toddler couldn't go through a complete film. Also the release catch to open the body and rewind the film has to have the special key inserted first. This is quite difficult for an adult to do so there won't be any accidents with the film being exposed to light. This takes standard 35mm film.

A very well designed toy that will give children their introduction to photography.
