Advantages: helps kids to use their imagination

Disadvantages: not enough lights or sounds

I brought this lovely little set for my daughter who's three from Woolworths originally priced at £19.99 but in the sales for £9.99, although she absolutely loves the set I don't think I would have paid the full price for it. It comes with 7 different items although some actually don't do anything. It is for ages 2 years and up and requires 3x LR44 batteries which are all ready included in the set

The back pack is quite good it's a large plastic lilac type bag with four talking phrases the back pack theme tune "back pack back pack" "yum yum yum delicioso" "good thinking" and "I have lots of stuff" it is not a bag that goes on your back like Dora's it is one you carry around with a handle on top

A plastic toy camera which doesn't actually take any photos or make any sounds or phrases but for some reason my daughter particularly likes to play with, also plastic, blue and yellow in colour.

Plastic binoculars and magnifying glass which don't actually make anything look bigger but she still pretends they do, the binoculars are light green and dark green where the glass is supposed to be there's see through plastic the same with magnifying glass, green and yellow in colour with see through plastic where the glass should be

a rubber bracelet yellow with a flower just like Dora's which has practically never left her wrist it doesn't join at the back its an open bracelet that the child couldn't really get stuck on

A Dora doll with a little fabric back pack, the bag is again lilac and has no use really its far to big for the Dora to wear and far to small for the child to play with. The doll is also a talking object saying three phrases mostly in English but with part Spanish added to the phrases "swiper no swiping" "hola im Dora" and we did it, Lo hicimos" she is wearing orange trousers and a pinkish jumper which is not attached to the body but you probably wouldn't be able top get it over her head anyway, she's about ten inches high with a soft body and hard plastic head

The set has kept both my daughters for many hours happily playing with the set as a whole. My girls loved this set so much I had to buy a Diego one as well (Dora's cousin an animal rescuer). For £10 it was well worth it but didn't seem enough there for original price of£20. I think to get my attention for the £20 there would have to be more objects that talk and defiantly some colours and flashing lights.

Summary: Not worth the origional price but worth it for the sale price
