There is no volume control on elmo and at first I thought that his voice was quite loud, but then I realised that his voice had to be extra loud otherwise you would hear the mechanichal whirring. He looks soft and cuddly, but when you hug him he is almost rock solid. there is no padding underneath the thin saggy red felt that covers him and he is not pleasurable to hug or cuddle. He comes with a blue p...more

Fisher Price Elmo Live: Come closer to Elmo.... (702 words)

As Scarlet was only going to be 8 months old last Christmas I was really struggling on what to get her. She didn't really watch any Childrens programmes as she was far too young and I wasn't sure on what toys she would benefit from. That was until she saw my Landlady's little boys birthday present. Seaseme Street has been around now for about 40 years with me remembering them from my childhood. One thing I distinctly remember is being envious of my friend who had the Tickle Me Elmo. I was so green with jealousy but this never resulted in me actually having any of the toys myself. My favorite were the Cookie Monster and of course Elmo. Mr Kimbles loved it ...  Read the complete review

Elmo Live - An expensive toy (472 words)

I have been a fan of sesame street since I was a little girl. My favorite character was actually Big bird and although sesame street isn't played on the tv any more the toys etc still seem popular but you do tend to see elmo more than anyone of the other characters. When I had my daughter I actually couldnt wait to be able to buy her all the new toys. When I was little I was lucky enough to have anything I wanted and I wanted the same for my daughter so when I saw this in the local ELC she just had to have it. The toy does suggest 18 months old and she was only 4 months but I suggested that my in laws brought it anyway as they didn't know what to ...  Read the complete review

Fisher Price Elmo Live: Elmo live (1033 words)

We bough Elmo live for our 2 year old about a year ago, after seeing it it John Lewis and checking out a few web videos, it seemed like the most innovative and amazing toy ever. I had no problem parting with £60 for elmo and I was probably more excited than my son about the toy. He is packaged in an open fronted box, and held in with several strong plastic ties. I know that the box front is open so that people can try him in the shop, but the problem with this is that every elmo that seems to be on the shelves has a dirty nose where people keep squeezing it. I could not find one without some sign of wear to his nose. Getting him out of the box is a ...  Read the complete review

Elmo live is a great toy and with such a good brand such as fisher price you are certainly going to get a great quality item. Elmo live is designed to be used for 18 months plus. Elmo live your favourite sesame street character acts just like the real thing from the famous TV show. I decided to buy this for my 2 and half year old daughter as I had heard a lot of good things said about Elmo live and the many wonderful things he does as he has sensors on his hands, feet, mouth, nose and back. Each sensor pressed enables Elmo to tell many funny jokes, he sings some of his favourite songs, laughs and even talks by moving his mouth up and down like a real person. ...  Read the complete review

Fisher Price Elmo Live: Elmo Live - Come give Elmo a big hug (255 words)

I love Elmo and Elmo loves my too. This is a very expensive toy and we paid £60 for it for my son's 1st birthday but is worth the money in my opinion and you can sometimes find it cheaper than that. Elmo is so much fun and has the whole family laughing. He comes with a stool which he sits down on when he is talking to you but most of the time my son takes it away and sometimes he falls over. When he does he says "can you help Elmo up please" which was a bit annoying when my son would just leave him and not pick him up but now he has learnt to pick him up. My son loves it when Elmo sneezes and it always makes him giggle. It is ...  Read the complete review
