Talking tools are quite a surreal thing but not when it comes to Handy Manny and his talking tools, Rusty, Dusty, Turner, Pat, Felipe, Stretch.

Handy Manny is the repair man who lives in Sheeprock Hills and does all the jobs around the town for the locals with the help of his tools. My daughter and I love watching the television show on The Disney channel and were excited to receive the talking tool box for one of her birthday presents. So, it's not the most girly toy but then I don't worry about things like this and with a new brother in the house now I thought they would be perfect for him in a couple of years too.

The tool box itself is plastic and bright red, just like it is in the television show. It has a handle at the top which makes it easy and fun to carry around and then the box is open to allow the tools to fit in.

There are specific spaces in the tool box where the designated tools go and this is indicated by a little picture by the hole of the tool that should go there. I think this is a nice learning portion of the tool box and helps kids with recognition and matching skills.

Then, the fun of the tool box starts!! The tools come to life and sing and dance. If you watch the television show you will be familiar with the song they always sing, "Hop Up, jump in." they sing this when they have been called to a job and Manny gets all the tools to jump in the tool box so they can go and save the day. The tools start to sing when you press the little yellow button on the front of the tool box. The little tools at the front of the box also jump up and down and it's really a funny sight. It has my little girl quite mesmerised when she watches this which is great.

The tools are all nicely made and actually quite fun to play with on their own outside of the toolbox. They look exactly like the cartoon figured on the television show so you can recognise them.

The toolbox is quite expensive, about £30 but great if you have a little Handy Manny fan.
