Advantages: Is good for the family to play together

Disadvantages: lasts under a minute

My son seen this game advertised on tv just before christmas , everytime the ad came on he would get so excited and ask us to take him to Tesco`s so daddy could buy it for him!
So we decided to get him this for christmas as I wanted him to have some games that we as a family could take part in.

~Inside the box you will find~

Elephant - which is made out of strong plastic and is blue in colour
Trunk - this is a blue plastic material
30 butterflies - red, green and yellow (for some reason there are no blue ones)
4 handles and nets - red ,green, yellow & blue, you have to fit the nets onto the handles which is very easy to do.

You will need 4 x LR14 batteries( C batteries)

To play the game you take off the elephants head, place the butterflies inside , replace the lid . There is a switch at the bottom of elefun so when you are ready you turn it on. There is a fan inside the elephant this makes the trunk inflate and out fly the butterflies. The idea is to catch as many butterflies as possible the person with the most butterflies wins the game.

This game lasts under a minute and if it was for an older child I think they would be very dissappointed but my son is 2 1/2 and he loves this game even if he finds it very hard to catch the butterflies as they come out of the trunk quite fast.
My son will make up his own game like for example he will wait until all the butterflies have landed on the floor and then will put each colour into the right colour net.

What do I think?

I think this is a really bad game , the butterflies sometimes get stuck in the trunk and also the trunk doesn`t alway inflate and if it does it seems to flop in one direction. Also when my son first played this game I was constantly having to refill the elefun with the butterflies and then replacing the lid and switching it on , but now my son seems to really enjoy finding all the butterflies and putting them in the elefun himself. He does sometimes have trouble putting the lid back on but he has a really good try before asking for help.
My son and nieces have a lot of fun playing elefun and I think that is the main thing as long as the children enjoy it then it is worth the £10 we paid for it.

This is for age 3+

This is also on Ciao my id there is again lazytowner

Summary: Buy some good batteries it seems to make the trunk inflate better

Great review, I agree with your comments having bought this for my daughter at Christmas. She too saw the advert and thought it looked great!
