Advantages: kids love this game

Disadvantages: expensive batteries

My 3 yr old son got Elefun for his birthday. I was a bit reluctant to take it out of the box for a while with all the bad reviews which I has received but I've actually grown to love this game.

The main aim of the game is to catch butterflies in a net which come flying out of the elephants trunk. The winner is the person that catches the most butterflies of their colour.

My 3 yr old now plays this game with my 19 mth old who tries her best to catch the butterflies but actually picks them up off the floor instead so always wins! The pair of them have a great time chuckling and running about in circles trying to catch the butterflies.

There are a couple of negatives - it requires 4 'C' batteries which never last very long and until my 3 yr old managed to refill the game once they had caught all the butterflies I had to constantly refill it for him.

I'd recommend this as an occasional game to get out of the cupboard on a rainy day. Not for use every day.
