Advantages: Small, good looking cult toy which relies on childish simplicity for maximum fun by all ages; very novel and affordable - almost looks after itself...
Disadvantages: The battery case is hard to pry open
An i.dog's for it's each entire battery life, not just for Xmas! Having said that I doubt the local dogs home would accomodate your i.dog if it wasn't of any need to you anymore. Anyway, my pet loving girlfriend who noted the distinct absence of pets in my life got me a non-pooing, non eating and very obedient dog. i.dog's seem to be rather cult and popular toys these days! It sleeps most of them time, doesn't need a flea collar (has no fur), and barks and walks, and wags when I want it by the touch of it's little wired controller! Okay, so Iggy (yeah, it's been named...) is a bit frighteningly robotic; a cross breed between a green imac and a very small dog, but it's still a lot of fun to look at and use, and it's addiction relies on it's childish simplicity, I love it! My own pet, aww! The only annoyance is that the battery case is very hard to open (requires a serious jab of screwdriver work; where are you Bob The Builder?), and there's no batteries including. It needs a standard 2 AA though, so it's not hard to get. The grey dog squeak barks and wags it's tail on the first button push, while the second button makes it walk and wag it's tail. And it's good novel fun, that's going to be quite a cult success I assume due to it's simplicity of fun and good design. Please, give an i.dog a home. Maybe your kids would appreciate over a real one which requires more attention, maybe. Woof! Indeed.
