Little Tikes Cassette Player.

A child’s battery operated cassette player with built in microphone, record facility and easy to use buttons.
Constructed of sturdy plastic the cassette player is manufactured by Little Tikes and retails for around£20, and is available from most good toyshops.

Bought for one of older children, our Little Tikes cassette player has certainly stood the test of time.
It is built from resilient brightly coloured plastic, it is bright and cheerful, and capable of taking the bumps and knocks that small children can infliction a toy.
There is an integral and a condenser microphone, and a large volume knob with two finger recesses for ease of use.
On the back of the player are 3 tape holders, which is very handy.
Our player has been up and down the stairs by hand, by foot, and occasionally on its own, with no ill effects.
The carry handle is large and easy to grip, the edges to the unit are all rounded and around the entire toy is a rubber seam offering substantial protection from knocks and bumps.
Powered by 4 C size batteries the player can also be run via a 6-volt mains adapter.
Unfortunately over a period of time my children have managed to break the curly cord that attaches the integral microphone to the player, however the unit still records well using the condenser mike. A small red light shows when the unit is recording and the clarity of both recording and sound is very acceptable, and reasonably loud.
The battery compartment is secured using a crosshead screw to prevent investigation.
On the downside there is no lock switch for the tape to prevent it being removed by your child, it is heavy when loaded with batteries, and there is no volume limiter.

Our Little Tikes Cassette player has provided years of listening pleasure for our elder children, and has been inherited by my toddler, who thoroughly enjoys the player to its full.
A lovely, long-lasting and goo
d quality toy.
Not too trendy for the older children, but perfectly hip for toddlers and pre-school kids.
Highly recommended.
Yet another success from Little Tikes.
