Polly Pocket Cool Convertible Cruiser

Brief History

Design of doll and accessories have changed considerably from original which was made in 1983. New doll's are larger with life-like features, clothes and are more realistic. Polly pocket was created in 1983 by Chris Wiggs and so called because the doll's and compacts fitted in your pocket. Fashion polly was introduced by mattell in 1999.

Dolls In Polly Pocket Fashion Range:

Midge, Fifi, Lulu, Lila, Lea, Kate, Courtney, Becky, Cindy, Shani, Crissy, Rick and Drew, dolls are about 4/5 inches tall.

Packaging

The polly pocket cruiser I bought came in a purple box with polly pocket logo on front and clear plastic window so you can see product. It is nicely packaged.

Product.

I bought the hot pink car with Lea. Lea has orange hair and comes wearing green boots, pink top, purple leggings and carrying a small pink bag (included for Lea is a hat, spare top and large bag). Lea is from the polly pocket fashion range and is 3 inches tall and has orange hair.

The car comes with 4 magnetic hot pink with green flower wheel trims, a bright green flower decorated bumper which fits on with magnets.

Design

Nice bright colours hot pink and bright lime green with hot pink flowers on. Wheel trims, roof and bumper click on easily. You can get in different colourways (e.g blue, pink). Opening doors and Lea fits in car easily. Clothes to fit Lea and other fashion dolls are made of stretchy plastic and quite hard to put on (young children may need adult help).
Age 3+

PLAY VALUE

Encourages creativity, an imaginative mind (children make stories up about days out in car to beach etc), fine motor skills (change wheeltrims, roof and bumper). I have found the older children I look after play with this more ages 4-8.

PRICE

14.99 for Cool Cruiser, dolls seperately 2.99 available at Argos, Woolworths, Toymaster, Online, Tesco and Asda.

OVERALL

Overall the cool cruiser is good value for money and has lots of play value and I would buy other items in this range.
