Disadvantages: You have to buy more to continue having fun after a while.

I myself have Series 2 Dusty and Handy.
How amazingly addictive they are at first.
They each three small buttons,which intiates actions unique to each character living in that specific cube,there is also a a mini-game built in to each one (for example,if I recall correctly the Handy's character is a wack-a-mole type game in which you attempt to hit the mole with a hammer by using the left and right buttons).
Something which is quite cool,is that they have motion sensors built in,they will react to the orientation of their cube,so if you turn them upside down,they fall and slowly recover).
Yet the key part to this,is collecting them...each cube has 4 magnetic sides in which you can build your collection up.They will also often visit each other,leaving their own cube and visiting others which ends up rather entertaining endings.
All in all,they are some fun,but you do tire after a while,and I would see that you would have to buy more to continue to benefit from this,but it's a bit of harmless fun! :P

Summary: Only bother buying if you are willing to buy more after.
