Well, If you knew me you'd know that I'm a big kid! Hehe. So yes, I am in my twenties and I own a Remote Control Wall.e! Nothing wrong with that!
I saw Wall.e the day that it was released and instantly fell in love with the styling of the film and I was amazed by how lovable a Square, yellow, rubbish collecting robot could be!
I bought my Remote Control Wall.e shortly after seeing the film, in the sales at the Disney Store. It was reduced from £24.99 to £14.99, so I couldn't really say no to a bargain like that!
Most of the time he just sits by my DVD player looking all cute, but on those special occasions (usually when friends are round and we've been drinking!) I love playing with him.
On the Remote there is a Joystick that goes back and forth. If you push it forward, Wall.e goes forward, if you pull it back, he turns to the right. It is a little annoying that he only turns one way so if you want him to go left, you have to go 270% right!
The strength of the signal from the Remote to the Toy is not great and you always need to make sure it is pointing straight at the unit. This is probably not a problem for kids as I could imagine them following the toy around. But I'm lazy and I just want to sit so it gets a bit annoying.
There are also two big buttons on the Remote that make Wall.e talk & sing. The sound quality from this toy is really good and it's taken straight from the recordings of the film and it is set at a loud, but not too loud, volume. Wall.e says all the phrases you expect him to hear..."Eeeeevaaaa!"
Young children will love this Remote Control Wall.e! He's so cute! The Wall.e itself is about 8inchs tall and the Remote is about the size of a mobile phone. This toy is very well built and very robust so you don't have to worry too much about your kids being rough with it. Not too rough though, you wouldn't want to hurt him!
