A boxing partne that does not hit back!!! In theory this sounds like a great bit of equipment but please read this before buying one and then make your mind up. I wanted one of these things for ages but when I got it I was not so happy. The slam man costs around £200 and £210 inc delivery. It must be filled with 100kgs of sand (water is no good) this is a further £12 - £15, you will need to buy some better gloves as the ones provided are poor (sparring gloves are best) extra £15. Ready to go???? nope!! Filling Slam Man with sand is not as easy as it sounds.. the hole in which you do this is very small and if your sand is slightly damp then it will ...

I recently purchased the SlamMan for working out and getting back into boxing and I thought this would be a motivating way to do that since the SlamMan is like an interactive sparring partner without punching back. Unfortunately, it requires a ton of sand, which takes a long time to fill and not to mention extremely difficult getting it out. Also, when I first put it together and took my first punch the chest sensor went flying off and I had to try and put it back on manually. I was also trying to push the buttons on the computer and it no longer beeped each time a light appeared. Oh, which if you are going to use the SlamMan I highly recomend using it indoors with ...

Having owned several punch bags in my time and having a few hundred quid burning in my pocket for a bit of a boys toy!, One of my work colleauges told me he had just purchased this slam man!... This lead me on to seeing why this toy cost him £284... On first impression the slam man looks hysterical, only when you say "Hang on, thats for real", do you take its function seriously...
