My four year old daughter had wanted the Tinkerbell talk-n-glow lantern a few months before christmas last year. I got her to hold of till christmas thinking she may forget about it but no was at the top of her christmas wish list, her little friend had been to american and bought it over there so my daughter had played with it and knew what to expect.
By chance i did spot the Tinkerbell talk-n-glow lantern in toys r us last year and it was on special offer. Tinkerbell talk-n-glow lantern cost £8.99 but originally priced £19.99 shocking and i would never have paid full price.
Tinkerbell talk-n-glow lantern comes packaged in the movie theme for the Tinkerbell movie fairy escape. This is only a small plastic lantern measuring 8 inches tall and 6 inches at the widest part being the top of the lantern.
It runs on three AA batteries and they come already in the base of the lantern, and has a clear plastic tab to be pulled from the batteries compartment before use, located on the bottom of the base.
Tinkerbell talk-n-glow lantern is made from plastic , the bottom part is pink and features some colour autumn leaves brown, red and red colours, there is an on off switch here. The rest of the lantern is clear plastic, shaped like an old fashioned lantern with Tinkerbell sitting inside, she is colourful and has her arms and legs crossed with a bit of a grumpy huffy face on her.
Switching the lantern on is easy for children to do and as soon as its on the lantern glows, the glow changes colours every few seconds goes, red, pink, green, blue , yellow and orange and every so often Tinkerbell spins around and says phrases.
The phrases are very well done and sound very much like Tinkerbell does. She says phases from the great fairy rescue movie like, so what's your talent?, hi i'm Tinkerbell , you do things that are beautiful and magical along with others but these ones spring to mind. There are 15 phrases all together.
Tinkerbell talk-n-glow lantern when on the lights are dull and not bright enough to use as a torch nor a night light due to her spinning and talking but all in this is a cute toy and my girl loves it. She has played with it nine months now and only had to replace the batteries once . I got it for a good price but as its plastic looking and very light i would not have spent anymore on it.
I think its cute and recommend this if the child is familure with tinkerbell and the movie too.
