My grandson was bought this for his first birthday and he loves it! As soon as he opened it his face lit up and now it is his favourite toy. I can see why too, it's very cute. It is brightly coloured so it attracts his attention. It's a yellow horse with a little person on the back. What you do is press the little person down and then this horse moves, whilst it walks across the floor it's little head bobs up and down and it makes a very cute clip clop clip clop noise. When it walks it actually does so really well. It's not like one of them toys that just does a few steps then gets stuck and stops. It's goes all across the lounge. It works best on smooth floor but even on my rug it will still move which is impressive! My grandson loves pressing the head down and watching him walk. It's good because it's easy to work, he is only 1 and he's perfectly able to do it himself without any help. It is really good quality, it's a really robust plastic that will cope with a toddler playing with it. I can't think of anything negative to say about it at all, my older grandchildren have enjoyed playing with it too but I would say it's most appealing to a very young toddler, definitely a good gift for a first birthday that's for sure. It came with batteries already included and has been played with daily since and we haven't had to replace them yet and that was 6 months ago. 5 stars from all of us.
When we brought this toy for my daughters a couple years back they were petrified of it as when you press the little person on the horses back it makes a noise and goes clippety clop and moves across the room. The noise it makes is very loud. A couple weeks back my girls were looking through there toy box and found it again. They now love playing with it one goes at one side of the room and the other goes the other side and they press the person down so it travels across the room to each other. They sit there doing it for hours I don't no how they don't get bored. I have to admit the sound of it does get very annoying a few times I have had to turn it off as the noise was irritating me. The toy it self is quite basic the colours are bright and it's easy to make it move and it is well put together and there's no small bits that can fall of it so is safe.
The clip clop cowboy is a really fun little toy from Tomy and both my two little girls really love it. It is made from sturdy plastic and comprises of a bright yellow horse ridden by a cowboy. The colours are really bright and it is a really attractive toy. The best thing about this toy though is not what it looks like but what it does. If your child presses down on the cowboy's hat you hear a loud neigh from the horse who then proceeds to take his cowboy for a ride. The horse and cowboy travel for about a distance of one metre before stopping with another neigh! As it moves, all the horse legs are moving up and down and so is its head while all the time you cah hear it clip clop! It is great fun to watch (if you're two!) and great fun to chase after as well! Both sounds and movement are fairly realistic. Tomy say that it is suitable from eighteen months but my daughter received it as a present on her first birthday. When she first had it she loved to crawl after it. It has been really great to help her develop her manipulative skills as she had to work out how to push it down in order to make it move and also position it in the direction she wants it to go. She also takes gret delight in listening to the different sounds and is now beginning to imitate these. My three year old also loves playing with it and it is often at the centre of her made up stories! It does require batteries - three AA ones but these seem to last quite a long time. At the moment it is advertised on the Tomy website at a price of £9.99 which doesn't seem too bad as it does provide hours of amusement! All in all it has been one of my daughter's most played with toys. It is fun, sturdy and (luckily for parents) not too noisy!
A delightful push n go cowboy and his faithful horse clip clop off on another adventure.
