Advantages: no mess drawing

Disadvantages: ?

Tomy aqua draw,
Guess what I bought Adrian? Yes an aqua draw.
Tomy Aqua draw is a mat 90cm x90cm it is double skinned the bottom layer a blue waterproof fabric the op layer a white close weave material.
There are two water pens that come with the mat these are filled by removing the nib and filling with water from a jug. Yes all that is needed to draw on this mat is water no ink involved.

The mat has a border around it with pre printed numbers and letters there are pictures, which relate to the letters too. The letters are large and drawn double so that you can copy the letter inside. These are very good for practicing early writing skills

The centre square of the mat is plain white plenty of room to draw a magnificent picture.

Place the mat on a table or directly on the floor blue waterproof side down draw on mat with water and it makes a blue mark the picture word you have written will be blue.
Not much water comes out of the pens at one time just enough to make the writing. It takes quite a lot of drawing for the pens to run our of water,
When the mat dries the blue writing disappears leaving you a clean mat too draw on again. If drying naturally this mat takes a little while to lose its picture but if picked up and shaken it dries very quickly.

This is a great non-messy way to draw a picture and practice pencil skills. This mat is suitable from 18 months.

As well as using the pens it can make water prints put or child’s hands , feet in water shake the drips of and place hands ,feet on the mat it will leave an imprint of them.
Also you could use a soft paintbrush to paint a picture. The only snag is the water painting will only be blue but that is not to great a problem it is easy to dry and folds up small.
I would recommend this mat I am glad I bought it for Adrian save a lot of paper. It will assist his journey into education teaching him the correct way to hold a pen, drawing straight lines, circles copying simple letters and drawing. Building up his imagination about the items he is drawing, drawing pictures of mummy daddy I can begin to see features in the faces he draws.

Yes this is an excellent toy and will give hours of fun. It can be bought at toys are us and on Amazon I think its available at Argos, costs about 16-20 pounds depending on retailer

Summary: draw with water
