Advantages: Easy to use, built in games
Disadvantages: Very poor photograph quality
I bought this camera for my 5 year old daughter for her birthday last year, she had the pink one but as illustrated it also comes in blue.
It is quite a big bulky camera with large bulky buttons which is ideal for little hands to grasp. It has great sound effects when you switch the camera on and when you take a photograph.
It has many great features, such as being able to stamp the photographs with special effects, such as devil ears and glasses, both before and after taking a photograph.
The photos on the camera are very simple to upload onto the pc using the supplied USB cable. There was also a disc included in the pack which can be loaded onto the PC for fun and simple photo editing. (For example, you can make a photograph into a snow scene with snowflakes and a snowman.) They can also be viewed straight onto the TV set through the supplied lead which was a bonus.
This item is that it is not just a camera; it is also a little games console to with a few good games such as noughts and crosses.
I am very surprised to read so many good reviews for this cameras quality as my experience is very different:
On the downside, I found that when reviewing the photographs after transferring them onto our PC, they were of very poor quality. I understand that it is a Childs toy and in no way do the makers claim it to take high quality pictures, but unfortunately I have not been able to send a single photograph off to be developed as they were that poor. The video recordings were also poor quality; however you can make out what is going on.
It also requires 4 x AA batteries which have two separate compartments which must be screwed in for safety.
I am surprised to find that this camera is still in the top 10 Christmas gift lists. From my own personal experience I would not really recommend this camera as I find that £49.99 is very expensive for what it is, I found the picture quality poor and my daughter lost interest due to not being able to print off the photographs due to their quality.
I have not gone into detail about the exact spec of this camera as it has been gone into in depth on many other reviews. I just thought I would let everyone know about my bad experience.
Reading other reviews, I have come to the conclusion that I may have received a faulty camera, therefore I recommend if you purchase this item and the quality is not good, try swapping it for another.
(I followed the instructions clearly and took photographes in many different environments)
Summary: Very expensive childs TOY,
