On the first night the Autolinx car alarm went off at 4:00 am in a quiet residential neighbourhood. When I phoned the office they were evasive, and asked me to give it a chance. The alarm went off intermittently over the next two days and nights. They couldn't replace the car so they called out the AA man. I used Autolinx for a three week car rental in the summer of 2000. Their apparently economical rates and convenient delivery/pick up service masked a litany of problems ranging from the mundane to the horrific. From delivery there were problems: the drivers side mirror was held on by sticky tape and part was hanging off. Avoid this company. - Advantages: The deliver & collect - Disadvantages: poor service, small print in contract results in massive overcharging, 'dodgy'
