Newest Review: ... have one fitted on this occasion I can't comment on either their fitting skills or costs. Rather bizarely the work sheet profered on completiton of my tire fit informed me they'd checked my exhaust system for wear and tear and recorded my milage. I find this rather irritating. Had they said "would you like a free car inspection" that would have been one thing but this came across as touting for business to a captive audience and extended the job unnecessarily. Premium Review ATS: Punctures repaired whilst you wait (if you're lucky) (504 words)
by - written on 17/11/09 (Very useful, 28 readings)

A very slooooow puncture could mean only one thing. A trip to civilisation to have it repaired. The nearest and in fact the only puncture repair place in the vicinity is a branch of ATS Euromaster located within a grade II listed building in a conservation area. Beautiful. Or at least its neighbours were. Still I wasn't here to admire the architecture I needed a repair doing. The car park was deserted at 10:30am, the only vehicles in sight were ATS vans one of which was parked in the bay. No hydraulic ramps here. In fact the place was so quiet I half expected tumbleweed to go rolling past. I entered the deserted reception desk and was confronted with a handwritten notice ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review About time I gave mechanics a brake (922 words)

**I would like to make it clear that this review is specifically about the ATS I visited in Welwyn Garden City, Herts and the services and products may vary from those reviewed depending on location ** *Personal Background* I drive a lot! I can easily cover 150+ miles a week for work as a community nurse and with having 3 young children I drive them here there and everywhere and their safety while doing so is paramount. We have had our family/work car for just over a year (56 Ford C-Max) and having clocked up 20000 miles I thought it was best to get the brakes checked. Brakes are tricky things in my experience - you don't really know that ...  Read the complete review

ATS: Dangerous lack of concern (93 words)
by Wendy Page - written on 13/04/07
Rating:

Fitted my brakes incorrectly, leading to brake failure. Could easily have killed me. Complete lack of concern by the management of the branch when I had the car towed in by the AA. When I communicated with the company, they gave me a 25% off voucher on the next repair, which I will not (unsurprisingly) be using. Although the mechanic concerned was very upset, and corrected the fault, the lack of customer care leads me to suspect this happens often enough that they really don't care any more. Do not use this ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Exhaustingly Good (1324 words)
by - written on 09/10/05 (Very useful, 1505 readings)
Rating:

**Please note the following ATS-Euromaster review is based around the service and products received from the ATS Garage in Newbury, Berkshire.** *Personal Background* My exhaust happened to be producing a rather unique sounding boy racer noise, complete with a slight rattling of my exhaust box, so decided immediate action was required. I decided to take my Citroen Saxo (51 reg.) to the local Kick Fit dealers as they had always provided a reputable service in the past, however after an initial free inspection they advised me that I required 3 new parts for my exhaust, an Intermediate Pipe, an Intermediate Silencer Box and a Rear Silencer ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review ATS: Hole in Exhaust not in pocket (423 words)
by - written on 27/09/05 (Very useful, 2083 readings)
Rating:

My car needed a new exhaust. It had a hole in it. The car was still drivable and had not yet reached the stage where everyone glares at you as you drive past them but it was at the stage where perhaps it would fall off on a drive from A to B. So my husband wrote down the car year, make and size and exactly what was needed so that I could telephone and find out how much it would cost and to book it so that we could take it in on a Saturday. After looking up places under tyre and Exhaust I immediately thought that the best place would be where we get our tyres from as they would be the cheapest. They charged £198. so I thought I would ring up some ...  Read the complete review
