Newest Review: ... car was due its first service, I was worried about the cost of the service with Audi but I then realised I had 2 years free service. My car came back lovely and clean too which was a bonus. I was also given my own personal chauffeur to take me home and pick me up to go back to the garage, and the driver was lovely. Audi I would like to put the record straight with Audi and their so called 'reputation'. I know most big dealers are renowned for ripping their customers off, but I would like to share my experience. I had a 3 door Megane (now Renault were rubbish for customer service) and we needed a 5 door car and something with a decent boot as we had just had our first child, and needed to get the pushchair and two Labradors in the back. I was unsure how to replace my ageing P reg Mk 1 Ford Mondeo 2.0 Ghia X after 4 years loyal service, it had wiped out any savings I could have had with its expensive Auto box habit (£2300 on two recon boxes). Although looking a little tired at 150000mls (stone chips meant that the bonnet looked like it was used as target practice by police marksmen), the car was perfectly serviceable and a comfortable 4-wheeled leather armchair on 4 wheels with all the extras. My partner and I have recently had some awful experiences of official Audi garages. After his Audi 80 started to leak we took it into our local Audi garage, we were told that we would not be charged for this check. At the end of the day we went to collect it and find out what the problem was. We were informed that MAJOR work was required, costing over £1,200 and that the charge for the, so called free, service was about £60! We felt that we wanted a second opinion about the leak, so we took it to an independent reputable garage and they could not find anything wrong with the parts that Audi said needed replacing!!
