Avalon Distribution

I would like to write this short opinion in recognition of the service that Avalon have given to us over the last twelve months. We use Avalon on a regular basis, we have a particular despatching requirement, that our customers demand of us. After much searching for a carrier that could provide what we wanted, Avalon were the only company that were prepared to do what we wanted: they even sent their Operations Manager to discuss how we could intergrate our despatch systems with their operational systems; and saved us money at the same time! Not written one of these things before; so here goes! I quite agree with all that was said in the last review; being in business, in this day and age it is very hard to find suppliers or service providers who really do have your interests at heart, and are not just looking to make a quick buck. I have to admit when we first used Avalon; the lady on the phone said these words: 'You are not our customer; we are your courier'. I thought 'Yea right, swallow a marketing manual did we?' We had to get a delivery to one our top customers; do or die time!! Our normal carrier let us down; PANIC! what now? Opened the Yellow Pages:- eeeeekkkk! How many carriers or couriers can their possibly be in the UK!!???!! (Have a look if you don't believe me!). As Avalon was near the front, we gave them a call; the chap the other end took me through all the options, (he even managed to calm me down!) he convinced me that overnight delivery was cheaper than a sameday delivery, but at the end of the day; to save our top customer deserting us, it had to go same day.
